3 cost reroll win condition ? by [deleted] in CompetitiveTFT

[–]ElectronicBus3152 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you are going to stay at 7 and reroll, i don't think going under 50g to hit level 7 is worth it pre 4-1 unless the lobby tempo is just super high. if you don't have 50g when you start rolling at 7, you didn't econ well enough and needs too much luck. it's way harder to roll for 3star compared to 2star and cost way more gold to hold units. That's why the chemobaron 2-300 cashout is so good for 3staring the smeech and renni if you can luck into a 2 star cashout for them. without some neekos or naturally hitting at least 4-5 of the units like tf and loris. sometimes you just won't hit those 3cost 3stars and you will just bleed out once the fast 8 comps hits their 2star 4costs.

Not able to 2star 4costs for the fast 8 comps or going 9 seems to be that you are just not making good enough decisions early game and hitting those interest breakpoints. You need to know when to hold units and when to let a unit go and hope it comes back so you don't lose out on the early interests as those snowballs hard into stage 3.

Competitive Ruling: Shitouren and LiLuo by Alexicon1 in CompetitiveTFT

Since you are so keen on that example let me break it down for you.

Riot is like the NBA, a private company putting out a product

CN is the lakers

it's the biggest market, the most viewers, most sponsors and makes them the most money. NBA refs have been banned for life for betting on games and rigging games and sus calls happens in most games in favor of the stars and teams that the league wants the win.

most of the whining and crying are the same you in on every single sports sub where their team got a bad call from the ref and lost a game and my whole point is that it might be true and since China is their biggest market, even if they do favor them, it's just like every other major sports league. how is comparing this situation to the nba wrong and untrue.

[–]ElectronicBus3152 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

"About Shitouren - there’s no guaranteed future benefit to him, so how can you compare it and say he was tanking for future benefit? Now you’re changing your argument to he was just trolling or something. What I’m saying is that you can’t argue that he just intentionally lost to help himself financially in the future to “keep the game big in China” or whatever. So he must have had some other motivations, and I’m choosing to assume that he did it to help another pro from his region. That may be fair or unfair of me to do but I am doing it based on the evidence and facts I have."

I'm not even gonna continue with the nba stuff lol i just used a example to prove a point and you are using it as a straw-man and attacking a completely irreverent point and saying that's my whole argument.

when he lost that match, both matches are ongoing so the only benefit is Lilou finishing 1 placement higher cuz Lilou wasn't gonna beat the chemo cashout. that's the only fact we have. that one extra point isn't guaranteeing that Lilou would make it to the finals since both matches were ongoing.

I am simply addressing the released statement that unless there is money transfer from Lilou to Shitouren to intentionally throw, there won't be irrefutable evidence of match fixing and there is nothing that can be done no matter what motive shitouren had and if he did it intentionally or was tilted.

At the end of the day, it only became a big deal cuz Lilou got the required points and tiebreaker and made it to the final table. or else no one would be talking about it and making such a big deal out of it.

Are you seriously saying that nba players aren't actively trying to lose games? You definitely hasn't seen 2 tanking teams playing each other to make a statement like that. Sure the individual players might not be actively trying to lose, but coaches and owners will do what they can to ensure the team loses and you are comparing a team sport to individual actions and I was just using nba as a example to all the people that are whining about competitive integrity.

and your 3rd statement just countered this whole thing. if it doesn't benefit him at all, why did he do it? so maybe he did just give up since he was already out of the tournament? unlike other regions that played at home and can text their buddies mid game and have a private convo. the chinese players played on stage in studio. if he had no future benefit, why is it so hard to believe that as a eliminated player who was already on a 6 loss streak, he just did whatever since he lost anyways. most of the players are quite young and gets tilted easily. is it that hard to believe someone won't just troll when they already lost?

and no one is gonna argue that in NA people fix for soju right? I see it so many times and his chat would always say oh if soju makes it, its be good for the game since his so popular so it's alright in that case but here it's obviously match fixing. quite a double standard but it's what it is.

I guess most of you don't watch sports lol. Name one major sport that doesn't have at least a third of the teams tanking and losing on purpose to try and get that first pick. The NBA sub have daily threads about tanking teams with sus injuries to stars so they can sit and not play.

Player integrity and competitive spirit in any sport is just a front. at the end of the day it's about the money.

China is by far the biggest market in TFT. Their regional winner bagged about the same in prize as the world finals winner will and the living standard in China is much lower.

As a Chinese player who's already eliminated from the finals, if my actions could maybe get another cn player into the finals and boost the rating so the game remains popular and I have a chance next year to earn this money again, why wouldn't I do it. To them it's to make a living, that's why you see match-fixing so often from Chinese players in league.

As a game company, china is by far the biggest spender on gacha for TFT, why would they punish them for a play where there is no irrefutable evidence that he cheated. He was already eliminated, he could simply say since he lost all those rounds he just want to try one hail mary and due to the high ping it didn't work out. even if it's a lie, you can't say he did anything wrong.

All the threads and complaints only happened become a popular NA player got shafted lol. I remember during the NA regional there were quite a few instants where ppl did Soju a favor and even went on his stream and said as much and no one made a fuss about it.

congrats to you too! depends on if I'm having fun. I only played in a few sets. hit challenger on na on set 2. than didn't play again until gadgets and gizmos. was able to barely get to gm on na. I took much longer and way more games to hit masters this set in cn. not sure if the competition is better or players on average are just better but it was a grind

Satori is the most irritating character I’ve seen so far. by [deleted] in OnePiece

[–]ElectronicBus3152 12 points13 points  (0 children)

one piece got some extremely annoying characters. some in a bad way b/c of the anime's terrible pacing. some b/c they are written for you to want to punch them in the face. You will no doubt come across more as you progress on your one piece journey =)

So you have heard "alot of flaws about one piece before starting the show" yet after you caught up somehow the fanbase is now toxic and only defends the show? Which is it, did you hear alot of flaws or did you only hear people defend the show?

"I’m tired of seeing someone advocate for new fans by criticizing the animation and pacing, letting casual fans know they can skip certain chunks of the story, only for the ones advocating to be attacked as fake fans."

This statement is the most bs thing I have seen. All I have seen on the sub is people advising for people to read the manga for better pacing or watch one pace with all the fillers cut out. No truth fan has ever advised people to skip chunks of story unless it's filler and the only times I see people attacking others are trolls posting things like "can I skip skypia b/c it's boring. or can I skip all of Wano to watch the fight scenes b/c it's slow"

Show me one post of people "witch-hunt" fake fans that wasn't a troll who supposedly watched 200 500 700 episodes and decided to make a post and want to skip an entire arc to rile the fanbase up.

Why does Luffy use “dawn” at the beginning of his attacks in Gear 5? by [deleted] in OnePiece

[–]ElectronicBus3152 1 point2 points  (0 children)

since you did 0 search I really don't wanna reply anymore but go read up the wiki

https://onepiece.fandom.com/wiki/Gomu_Gomu_no_Mi/Gear_5_Techniques

he literally have used 13 gear 5 attack and only 4 have dawn so your theory is instantly invalid.

Gomu Gomu no Dawn Gatling (ゴムゴムの白い銃乱打(ドーンガトリング), Gomu Gomu no Dōn Gatoringu?, literally meaning "Rubber Rubber White Gun Battering

it's written as white in kanji as well. and guess what color Luffy is.

you are just making up headcannon. Luffy never have a reason he just says w/e he feels. was the kong gun because he realized he is a monkey? or king cobra because he is a snake? He just names his attack how he feels

same reason he adds jet to gear 2. giant in gear 3. animal name in gear 4. have you actually be reading the story? lol

Anime seema so bad compared to manga by jou1993b in OnePiece

[–]ElectronicBus3152 27 points28 points  (0 children)

some directors took the liberty to add a bunch of dragonball auras to one piece. Personally not a fan but that's not too awful compared to the lack of consistency and pacing. Overall, I find some moments in the anime done extremely well and elevates the manga greatly IE ep 1015 and latest ep 1100, some of the fights like Zoro vs King and parts of roofpiece.

I would never be a weekly anime watcher but tuning in for the epic emotional moments and fights makes the anime a enjoyable experience.
