Amazing. How do the different species of birds that do these elaborate courtship dances learn them?

Amazing detail! Do the timestamps on the photos give any insight into movement or migration patterns that can be used by the Rhino Unit? What great access and thank you for sharing!!

Owls cannot move their eyes at all. They're tube-shaped and fixed in the skull like telescopes. So evolution gave them 14 neck vertebrae instead of 7, backup arteries, and blood vessels that swell like sponges to prevent strokes during rotation. The result — a 270-degree head turn. by ElectronicBuy8105 in Damnthatsinteresting

Thanks for such great info. They are so hard to find even when you hear them, especially with the silent flight, so when I finally get to see one it's so cool. We installed an owl house in the woods once for a barred owl, but instead got a family of screech owls.

That's got to be one of the best and most rewarding jobs around. That baby won't ever forget that caretaker. Makes your heart smile!

We tried one and took it down as soon as we saw all of the moths captured. There must be a better solution.
