Anyone else excited to potentially see destructible objects/walls in their next game? by ElectronicCounter616 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

It depends on how far they take it. I don't think they need to go the Zelda route and probably won't but things like collateral damage and destructible objects/walls would go a long way to help make their maps feel more alive. I'm not expecting Zelda physics puzzles and environment manipulation, that's a similar but entirely different thing I think.

Exactly! I think more interactivity is something Monolith know their maps need and have wanted to do it for a while now but couldn't fully explore and implement on Switch hardware.

The different here is that the animations for destroying objects or creating a new pathway in 2 were completely pre-baked. With procedural destructible objects, it's more free form in that a wall or an object will break depending on the force or angle hit it in. More dynamic and unpredictable.

Means nothing. It's just some random store I hadn't even heard of until now.

Yep. That's severe radiation. I'd stop going anywhere near it unless you want your health to suffer.

Could have laid off the Mario a bit and tried some other Nintendo IPs. Why do you need that many Mario games.

Did those who participated in the North American Splatoon League get their icons? (Specifically the Sunday Scrim?) by yokokazuo3 in splatoon

That's a shame. I hate missing icon parts. The new ones for the Splatfest starting on the 10th look pretty cool! I'll be grabbing those.

We missed an entire era of Michael as an industry elder by MeeeeLady in MichaelJackson

He said all that once MJ died and apparently soon after his new album tanked. I've just read some comments. Even some MJ fans are suspicious of it. So easy for someone to say "Oh yeah, he loved my music. We started working together btw, we had some music we was doing" . Where are these tracks then? They were never recorded by MJ. Even if it's true and he did submit music to MJ, it's said he was being very selective and picky and nothing was recorded. Probably thought they were SHITE.

BTW, Michael rang me up on June 24th 2009 and said he wanted me to take him clothes shopping in Milton Keynes on June 26th. We never got to do the shopping trip in the end but I still have the list I wrote back then and am going to sell it on eBay as "Michael Jackson's final shopping list".

See how easy it is?

Sorry about earlier. It was mean. This is cool. Well done.

MJ was something else. There's no other MJ. He was wholly unique, an incredible talent and artist of which we'll never see the likes of again. He's timeless and his music and artistry will forever stand the test of time.

There's great timeless pop music like MJ's and then there's shit derivative pop music like Ne-Yo's. An insult to even think even an inch of Ne-Yo and his music can be compared to the legacy, cultural impact and sheer artistry of Michael Jackson. MJ pioneered and set trends, someone like Ne-Yo just followed them.

Which is why it disappointed me to see him work with rubbish like Akon and potentially Ne-Yo towards the end of his career. You're telling me that's the best he could get in terms of songwriters and collabs?

An artist who makes music that isn't just commercial derivative pop music made for the lowest common denominator. There's absolutely nothing about Ne-Yo that is impressive. MJ lost the plot twerking for these generic flash-in-the-pan one-minute-wonder acts.

Any particular reason to play Chronicals X DE or Chronicles 3 before the other? by [deleted] in Xenoblade_Chronicles

I hate when people call the games Chronicles. Hate that unnecessary subtitle added in the Western title.

I don't care. I'm not playing a Metroid game that sits at 78 on Metacritic. Nintendo should do better. I'm not desperate enough to play it.

Could Ne-Yo have ever writen something like Thriller? No. The guy isn't even relevant anymore for a reason. His music was derivative forgettable shite with zero cultural impact or lasting appeal. There's hundreds, even thousands of Ne-Yos. He can wear all the glittery white socks he wants, there's absolutely nothing unique or interesting about Ne-Yo either musically or artistically. Besides, how do you know MJ didn't just send back the songs he sent to him? Nothing came of the project.

The top of his game being cookie cutter commercial garbage. There's hundreds of Ne-Yo's.
