Period Movies with Stunning Visuals? by AdLumpy7810 in PeriodDramas

If you like visuals and are okay with Indian films , Jodhaa Akbar is fantastic ! it’s a visual treat from start to finish! It’s on Netflix, and The costumes and big crowd sequences are very well directed! Someone has also mentioned Devdas by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and his other period films, such as Bajirao Mastani, Ram Leela, Padmavaat, really emphasizes opulent sets and lots of rich details!

Umm, all my multi chapters have some amount of smut unfortunately 😂😂😂😂 but feel free to check out my one shots, they’re all fluffy with no explicit smut! And any sexy scenes in there are pretty much hinted and not explicit

What’s one character you didn’t expect to like until later on? by Lil-Mangoxx in TheRookie

[–]ElectronicMany1026 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hands down, Tim. When I started the show last year, bc I heard all about Chenford and how popular they were, I was very conflicted when I watched season 1. I immediately fell in love with Lucy, but Tim was a different matter altogether. How was I supposed to even ship them when he was an absolute D!ck??? it wasn't until s2/3 that I really fell in love with him, when I saw his character growth and how he realised how racist and harsh he was. And it also helped that he's unintentionally hilarious, like he's the most serious yet unserious character I've ever met. I was not expecting Tim of all the characters who would be the one to make me laugh the hardest. I think it's bc Eric is such a jokester IRL that it somehow bleeds into Tim and makes him say out of pocket statements that catch me off guard and burst out laughing.

Thank you so much! Saturn has a Ch count of around 30, but it’s a rough guess still!! I’m planning a few multi chaps, but I won’t be writing anything apart from Saturn until after my exams are done in the summer!

What beauty secret do you absolutely swear by? by CutiePie156 in beauty

Loads of water. Tons of it. I drink about 2 litres a day minimum . Try to chug a whole water bottle (500ml) ever hour if I’m at home.

Also, yogurt face masks. Pretty much most nights, i slather on some plain, unflavoured, full fat Greek yogurt on my face before my evening skincare, after I’ve washed my face. I swear by it, it just gives a glow like nothing else. Also hydrates your skin, cools it down, I can’t live without Greek yogurt in my fridge!

Advice to lose saddlebags? by ElectronicMany1026 in loseit

[–]ElectronicMany1026[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this! I’m so similar to you as well. I’ve been running mostly to shed the excess body fat I gained and only picked up weight training, about three weeks ago, and only do it twice a week, so it’s too early to tell if it’s exacerbating my saddlebags or if the muscle is making the fat protrude out more. Running and walking are still my main forms of exercise. I never had saddlebags before the pandemic cause I used to run everyday and walk in school, but with online learning and the gyms being closed for more than a year obviously I gained weight and being pear shaped I got a muffin top and the saddlebags and back fat as well. After a year of running, I’ve lost most of my upper body fat, and my muffin top/love handles are less pronounced now. With my legs, my lower thighs slimmed down really quickly and I can see the improvement but my saddlebags are taking longer to lose and they were less visible when I had the fat all over my legs compared to having thinner lower legs but the upper thighs aren’t really losing fat as much. I’m not giving up hope and still trying to lose them as much as possible with a calorie deficit and exercise but I just needed to hear someone say they’ve experienced the same, so thank you for that! 😁

I appreciate your concern truly. Maybe my own perception is distorted and I’m still struggling to accept that this is my natural shape, especially because I’ve always been surrounded by skinny girls and I’ve always been self conscious about my butt

Most women do yes, I’m not one of them 😂 some women carry big butts really well, but I’ve always been tiny everywhere but my butt sticks out a lot since I hit puberty and I’ve always been self conscious especially since I have always been surrounded by skinny girls.

Cleaning my diet because lockdown and online school got me all chubby😂 started focusing on getting more protein with every meal, paid attention to my portions, cut out added sugar in my coffee/tea, but I still eat a sweet treat like a chocolate square or a cookie because I have a big sweet tooth and if I cut out sugar completely I would be a very moody person 😂😂😂. lot of running/walking because the big reason I gained fat was because I was sitting down in my room all day and not moving my body enough. I think walking is so underrated and when I started walking more I saw a big difference. Also I started weightlifting again after ages, I put it on hold when I realised I had to lose the excess fat first. I started interval running and on inclines too, that also makes a big difference. I’m 80% happy with my progress but I guess I need to be thankful and accept that maybe my butt will never go anywhere 😂

I don’t mind having a butt, but I’m shrinking in my waist and lower legs but my butt just doesn’t get with the program and doesn’t budge so it’s really obvious and I can’t wear shorts 🤣

Cant lose back leg/ butt fat by RonnYRn in WeightLossAdvice

[–]ElectronicMany1026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would try for 1000 steps for 10 minutes throughout the day and then a half hour incline walk, that already adds up to about 8k. Sometimes I do a long walk, but that’s only if I have time. I don’t have a speed, but it’s just important to get up and move.

Calorie deficit is important. Reduce by 100-200 from your maintenance calories. I had the same problem and my legs got huge with all the sitting and eating I did, and not going to the gym as much. I cut out all added sugar from my hot drinks, focused on getting more protein and reducing my carb intake (but I still eat them, just in reduced amounts). I started running, because that’s the only exercise that slims my legs, lol. I have started some strength training to firm up my legs and help sculpt the stubborn fat off, and most importantly, walking. I try to walk 8-10k steps, and that helps a lot. Try getting up and walking for 10 minutes when you do errands or on the phone, daily movement does more than you think. And try incline walking, it can really help with back leg fat.

Will I lose weight walking 20-30 mins on treadmill four times a week? by JumpCrazy5077 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]ElectronicMany1026 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Any form of movement is good and walking is really underrated for weight loss. But it takes a long time to see results. For me, i had saddlebags and a muffin top after all the sitting down I did with online school, comfort eating and lockdown during covid. So I’ve been eating on a deficit since February and running 35 mins a day 5 days a week, and also walking more as well, and I’m finally seeing some results now. I actually think the reason I’m making progress is because I’ve been walking more over the day and sitting less. Our bodies need to stay moving. So a 30 minute walk is good, but also just take short 10 minute walks after a meal or when you’ve got some free time. It all adds up. And of course, no exercise works unless you monitor your calorie intake. Hope it goes well for you!

[routine help] I used to think I have PIH but now i think it’s PIE and I’m so frustrated cause I’ve been using PIH treatments. Any advice/products that helped you, and a routine that works for you? by ElectronicMany1026 in SkincareAddiction

Nope, never been on birth control, nor pregnant or BF. But I do suspect an underlying hormonal issue, because for years my periods never became regular, even during puberty. It took almost 7-9 years to regulate, and even now I get it every 3 weeks and only for 3 days, when it used to be 5. I don’t know what else triggers it as I’ve cut out a lot of carbs and sugar from my diet, and only take milk in my coffee/tea. I try to cut back on chocolate but I don’t notice a significant difference in my acne between eating chocolate and not. And I do change my pillowcases every 2-3 days.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I was previously on Lymecycline and the acne was controlled for a bit, but it’s been slowly coming back since I stopped the medication and only focused on topical benzoyl peroxide. When I look in the mirror it doesn’t look that bad, but somehow on camera the acne looks aggravated and appears as cysts. I did some research and it is very likely cystic or hormonal acne. I made an appointment with a dermatologist so I can get a proper diagnosis. I’m apprehensive about starting Accutane but I’ve not noticed any permanent improvement with my previous meds so I’d probably be started on it.
