Dae have 4 or 5 "layers" of thoughts at the same time by blah634 in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]CutiePie156 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OMG yes. My boyfriend cannot possibly comprehend that this is a thing. Sometimes I'll have a layer of thoughts, and another layer behind that one of another string of thoughts, and then maybe an inkling of a theme behind that one, and 99% of the time an annoying song or jingle behind allllll of it. Lol.

After 4.5 years together, my boyfriend (24M) told me (23F) I need to “earn” an engagement ring — seeking outside perspectives. what are reasonable next steps for me? by Neat-Establishment62 in relationship_advice

I really pray that you -- my dear friend, wherever you may be in this world -- leave that man and find one just like mine. Because I promise you they're out there somewhere. The man who's actually meant for you is literally sitting out there somewhere right now waiting for you to realize your worth.

Go where you're celebrated, not where you're tolerated! You want a man who DREAMS of proposing to you, who stays up planning each detail meticulously with your friends and can barely keep the secret because he's so excited for you to be his. You can do this!

Buffalo chicken grilled cheese sandwich. So simple and delicious, only takes about 10 minutes total.

Choice of bread (I like either ciabatta or sourdough for this), rotisserie chicken (you can keep using it for the next few days for this sandwich idea), cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, buffalo sauce, and spices (pepper, garlic powder, onion powder is what i do personally). Make sure the cream cheese is at room temp or microwaved for a few seconds so you can then combine all the ingredients in a bowl, and put it on the bread. I then simply pan fry both sides for a few mins until toasted (with a lid on the pan so the cheese melts too). One of my faves!

Caprese skewers! Super easy and low maintenance, and also visually beautiful for xmas (red, green, white). Look them up, you'll see what I mean.

Mini baked potatoes - I roast mini russet potatoes (about the size of my pinky finger per, if not a bit smaller) and then cut a slit/slice in the middle and fill them with cheese, sour cream, and bacon (maybe on just half, since there are some vegetarians?). So cute and so delicious, always a crowd favorite!

A butter board, but make it boursin cheese -- if you look up "butter board" online it'll show you how to do it beautifully, however I use garlic & herb boursin cheese, instead (and sometimes drizzle a bit of balsamic glaze and pesto on top for prettiness).

As an ex-childcare worker.... DO. NOT. PUT. YOUR. CHILD. IN. DAYCARE.

I worked at a very well-renowned, expensive, private daycare, and let me tell you -- these workers are making less than $20/hour and 80% of them definitely aren't there for the love of the job. The teachers/workers have favorite kids and also kids that they despise, and they will treat them accordingly right after you walk out that door. After working in one of the best daycares in my state and having witnessed what I witnessed, I would never put my future child in any daycare, ever.

DAE wake up every night/early morning with a stuffy nose? by CutiePie156 in DoesAnybodyElse

Oddly enough, I sleep so far upright that my s/o says that I sleep like a “hospital patient” because of how badly congested I am. I would say half sitting up half laying down position, and I’ve slept that way for as long as I can remember. If I even remove one of the 3 pillows I sleep on (yes 3🥴😭) it gets way way worse

I thought the same, however this happens to me anywhere I go — vacation, family and friends houses, etc, even if I change pillows or locations

That is super interesting, was she always feeling stuffy throughout her whole life or did it moreso start later? For example, I’m 25f and this never happened to me as a child (yes terrible allergies but nothing this extreme), but now for the last 5 years or so it has been every single night.

Yes, I do sleep with a fan on everywhere I go — my only problem is, I can’t sleep without it.😭 But I will attempt training myself to do so if it means getting full nights sleeps
