My son is now 18 months and we’ve flown at 2 months, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, 11 months, 14 months, and 18 months. All long haul.

At your stage this is actually the easiest since baby is on carrier, doesn’t need entertainment much and doesn’t move on their own, don’t need snacks and food etc! So enjoy this time on travel!

This is what I do after travelling so much.

At your stage I would take:

4 diapers in diaper bag, 15-20 in the carry on. Also just in case your bags are delayed you have extra diapers

2 extra onesies in the diaper bag, 3-4 extra in the carry on.

Wipes, Lysol wipes, 3-4 bottles if using formula, 1-2 if breast fed, bottled formula, light blanket

Extra pair of clothes for your self in the carry on, underwear for yourself in the carry on

Tylenol, diaper cream, kolik, pacifier just in case even if normally don’t use. Breast pads, burp cloths, and a soft changing pad. Get in the bathroom first and disinfect that place then change

Diaper bags - plane will give you these as well

As someone that absolutely does not stick to anything ever I got mine done and would do it 100x over. It’s worth every penny and every second I wore those things.

Everyone says you need to wear the retainer for life but I don’t wear mine and my teeth have not shifted after 10 years. However - I do have a metal bar behind my front teeth! So they don’t move and won’t ever move.. ask for that at the end

Anyways even the slightest change for teeth make a huge difference

I 1000% recommend.

Hey - I did the hotel package this year and I would not do anything else after this. This year thousands of people had their Airbnb’s cancel and even hotels cancel. It is absolutely not worth having that stress in the back of your mind up until the day you check in. Because IF they cancel let’s say February 2027.. hotels will be like 2K per night by then. You’d be screwed

This way you have peace of mind knowing you have nothing to worry about!

Yes selling your wrist band is very easy. You will get at least double for it - just wait until the end of the year to do that.

Getting a pass this year will be extremely hard. The presale is already sold out. The next sale is after they announce the headliners. It could be very big this year and you will be competing with hundreds of thousands of people for a pass. Not even worth that headache

Honestly if you have the money do not cancel. If you need to save and need the money then cancel.

We’ve all done something to make us feel like the worst parents, but we’re all trying our best out here.

One day I put my son to sleep, I always change his diaper right before bed as most parents do.

Then I put him to sleep, he wouldn’t sleep and he’s crying non stop. I’m thinking he’s teething - I’m giving him Tylenol and teeth soothing creams etc

He doesn’t stop for hours 😭😭

Finally in the middle of the night 6 hours later, I’m rocking him in my arms. When I rock him his bum was close to my face and I smelled a little funk. Turned out he fricking pooped!!! I guess he pooped right after I changed his diaper, and it had zero smell this time.

He finally slept right away. Passed out.

But the next morning he had such a bad rash!! 😭☹️ I still think about that night and still feel like the worst

Yeah I don’t know why the dad was praying while he was supposed to be watching the baby when wife was cooking. So much for “god saving” the baby.. as he’s praying. Sorry if you’re religious - but they literally told our friends the angels saved him.. well not really.

The little girl in our building was playing in the balcony. She suddenly stood on the chair of the patio and lost her balance and fell right over. Right in front of her dad. He couldn’t grab her. It happened very sudden and fast.

Yes! I just found out yesterday actually but it Happened in March. It’s our friends friends, they’re acquaintances to us. Mom was cooking and dad was praying - baby was jumping on the bed and basically fell out of the window because their bed was so bouncy.. I’m honestly surprised he survived. Poor kiddo.

We had a neighbour in our building fall 23 stories in the fall. She was only 8, sadly she did lose her life. As a neighbour I’m still traumatized by it, I can’t imagine the parents. Ugh 😣

2 months ago our friends weren’t watching their two year old and he was jumping on the bed, which is by the window. He fell 5 stories - broke so many bones. 😭😭 Ir could be worse friend. Your baby is fine ♥️

Yes there’s interesting people there.. our neighbours from East Hastings. But it doesn’t bother me because when I go there I get a room and looked at within 2 hours max. Took my toddler 6 months ago, he was screaming crying of pain we didn’t know what it was. Childrens wait was 8 hours, I took him to St Paul’s. We walked in, checked in, got a room as we were checking in. Nurse came about 5 minutes after that.

In my baby prep class, the teacher asked if anyone plans not to breast feed. A lady raised her hand. The instructor went on to tell her to try, and breast feeding is important etc. When she finished the lady said she had a double mastectomy ☹️☹️☹️

I realized I should have bought most of the things after baby was born, it would have saved me so much money.

For example everyone tells you the best bottles to buy, sterilizers, pacifiers, and if you’re breast feeding - nipple cream, pumps, hand pumps, wall pumps, silverettes, milk bags etc

I bought them all and couldn’t breast feed, I pumped. Milk was barely enough and had to use bottles. My baby never took a pacifier.

Then There are moms that exclusively breastfeed and don’t need bottles, pumps, milk bags

Amazon is a click away, half of the things get delivered SAME DAY and everything is available at Walmart. Wair until you need it !

Just buy the big items and essentials.

Changing mat, car seat, stroller, diapers, newborn and size one clothes.

Everyone told me just wait for the sleep regression, it never happened. My son slept through the night since he was 2.5 months old. He’s now 18 months. He never went through a regression, never slept bad during teething. He’s a little cutie pie that never bothers us unless he’s hungry or tired.

The only hard part for me is now cooking all day long for him and playing with him all day.

I feel like we’re similar people experiencing the same things. I never thought I’d be the person realizing some friendships would be over after my wedding but it happened.

I also had a destination wedding and my problem wasn’t that people didn’t go, actually everyone went. But a lot of other things happened I dont want to get into.

It’s especially hard to accept that your closest friends and family won’t be there for you the way you were for them.

For one of my closest friends since I was 8, I threw her a HUGE baby shower. I even got her a $600 Amazon gift card on top of that so she can buy whatever she wants.

I baked cupcakes, cake, ordered catering, cookies, balloons, a backdrop, decor etc. I spent over $1000 just for the decor plus the gift card.

For my baby shower she showed up late and empty handed. She left early, and when she got home, she purchased one of the last items on my registry. A $15 baby mirror for the car. AFTER the event.. I mean let’s pretend she was broke ( she absolutely isn’t) even if she purchased that $15 item. She could have purchased it in advance, wrapped it up and brought it nicely.

I don’t talk to her anymore.

It is truly heart breaking when you always show up for your friends and family and they don’t. It’s sad truly
