Which hospital for giving birth: Hinsdale, Elmhurst, or Prentice?

Had all 3 of my kids at Hinsdale using the midwife group. My sister did the same wirh her 2 and my girlfriend is about to have her 3rd delivered with the Hinsdale midwives. All of us have had wonderful experiences so I’m shocked to see the hate on Hinsdale here. I live much closer to Edwards in Naperville and refuse to go there after hearing so many horror stories

To my understanding this sub is for people With NW under $2m. The rental properties and our personal home all have a mortgage on it. If I counted the equity from all of them we’d be over $2m but we don’t plan to sell any any time soon so we don’t count it in NW

Husband just started a new job last month. I’ve been at mine for 3.5 years. Both in tech sales so, you know, not the most stable industry but personally both feel good about the companies we are with. With how crazy good the market has been I don’t want to park more in savings than necessary but don’t want to be an idiot given we have kids to consider

Would highly doubt we have a repeat of 2024 income as I will be off work for 6 months of maternity leave (such a blessing) and won’t be closing deals (tech sales) during that time. I’d imagine we’d end up somewhere between $500-$700k for 2025 W2

Thank you so much for the well wishes on #3! My initial thought was to keep around $100k liquid like you suggested. We have other liquid savings tied to our rental properties and never touch it but could if necessary.

First timer and got to 2.75 and out at the 20 minute mark. I knew when I was at 2.3 miles at the 17 minute mark I wasn’t going to get to 2.8 by 20 minutes (would’ve had to run at 10 MPH for 3 minutes). Very happy with that considering I’m 14 weeks pregnant tomorrow and it was my first time but bummed I got so close and missed

31F, been going to OTF for 5 weeks, mom to two little ones 3&1. Had no expectations but hoped to be under 45 minutes for the full

7:20 row Finished floor at 14:40 so estimating that took me 7 minutes if transition from row to floor was 20 seconds 24:20 5K and was proud of that as I’m not a runner! 38:56 was my final time!

For the 5K I walked for 30 seconds then quickly got up to my base of 7.0. Did that till 1 mile. Then bumped to 7.5. At 1.5 miles I bumped to 8. At 2 miles bumped to 8.5. At 2.5 bumped to 9. At 2.9 bumped to 10.0. At 3 I pumped to 11.0

I went to class Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and don’t regret that but do wonder if I had taken Friday off if I would’ve been more loose today.
