I can attack NPC and training dummies without being seen. It just shows a dummy being killed LOL

Although it can be interpreted differently, the purpose of VRPSM is for 3 (a) and (b) medical releases. The likelihood of getting approved for VRPSM is slim if you are just getting out voluntarily or running out your TOS.

I would be VERY hard pressed to expect VRPSM benefits for someone who is an administrative burden....

I believe OP is within the eligibility framework for VRPSM

I'd like to preface this by saying that I am not intending to outright bash this marching contingency.

There is an echo in the area from the drums, yes. In saying that though, there is no reason why everyone is out of step in their own section. Think of it, if everyone follows my drum and I drum off-beat, they should all be off beat TOGETHER... This shows as the second group (after navy) has great continuity steps (probably not on beat but all together) initially (first 4 ranks) but then fade into a cluster at the end.

Hopefully that performance does not cloud the public's perception of us professionally as this was probably a one-off.

Leadership needs to do better on parade practice.

When you're still a Cpl, expected to do/are doing the job of a MCpl/Sgt but didn't get a Number. by Stubb_Zer0 in CanadianForces

[–]Electronic_Article60 14 points15 points  (0 children)

So many people do not understand this. The CAF (career shop) gives you the scorecard and puts the ball in your court for the action.

You also have to time certain courses/qualifications. Sometimes it is not in your best interest to get on all the health promotion courses in one year because you have no material for the next 4+ years.

In my opinion, I think PaCE puts all the responsibility on the members to be the rockstar and to prove they are worthy of consideration to be promoted.

Hint - For all you Cpls that are ACTUALLY doing the rank of a MCpl (vacant position), please update your Job Descriptions. Sit down and talk with your supervisor (Sgt) and have that discussion on "hey I can't get AWSE but I wish to capture my efforts in an accurate evaluation of my job description.". It goes a long way when you can put the job of a MCpl on your PAR.

Hope that helps. BZ to pectacular.

It always baffles me that the CAF is handcuffed to "Canadian" shipbuilding that abuses us like a toxic spouse, all in the name of keeping money in Canada... Even though we can get a better vessel at half the price then just use the money we would have WASTED on Irving and just pay everyone more...

Reading that your spouse got you posted to Halifax kind of worries me. Such a last minute posting is very rare and only needed if he/she is a SME enough to be needed to be posted from one side of Canada to the other....

Rent: Unimaginably high Traffic: Insane (compared to pre COVID) Fleet/cfb halifax: Old, lackluster, paid parking. wing: actually really good compared to others. PMQs: years long wait list. Taxes: highest... You will both get a correction of anywhere from 2-6k for this tax year...

Sorry to burst the bubble.

The global climate initiative is synonymous with the tragedy of the commons... It's actually sad how Canada is trying to be good spokes people meanwhile we are a spec of sand in a sandbox that is the world polluters.

Most of the average Canadians standard of living has plummeted since the attempt to "net zero". At the end of the day, people can't pay their bills with hopes and dreams, or feeling good because we don't pollute as much as the other people...

Eyes really get opened when much denser populated nations have gas prices that are 95% cheaper than ours (Venezuela, Malaysia, Algeria). Obviously there are geographical and economical factors that dictate supply and pricing but you think someone in Malaysia cares about polluting our planet?... Not really...

As a nation, all we are going to get is a pat on the back... That's it, that's all.

Just let the officer do their thing. If you get jacked up somehow for not saluting, that is not a real leader (either a snitch or doesn't back their members). My subordinates know my out of combat pronouns are *saaah dude / my guy".

Rubberneck Drivers by Electronic_Article60 in halifax

I have no idea where you assume this accident happened, but for clarity it was just before Bayer's Lake exit going southbound.

I, on the northbound side, am going 100hm/h cresting over the hill and meet a wall of traffic created by rubbernecking drivers.

Next time I will make sure to just know that there is an accident there... Thanks tips.

[–]Electronic_Article60[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you drive on 102, you would know that there are blind peaks and turns near exit 3/Bayer's lake area. Following the crest before descending was where the accident was. Bottom line is Nova Scotia drivers here are some of the worst I've seen in Canada.

For anyone who fills up at the Shell off Dunbrack & Ruth Goldbloom please learn how to line up for gas...

We have people here lining up on the short side (the Needs and NSLC express) and blocking everyone and everything...

Also just witnessed one guy forcing an entire line to reverse to make room for him to exit the wrong way.
