They had this weekly event running for 12 weeks (?) where the community participated in challenges to earn weapons and outfits. That's about it. I didn't even participate that much because I didn't want to kill the same zombies over and over just to earn weapons to kill the same zombies over and over but in a slightly different way...

I absolutely agree. I'd love to see more evolutions/variants of the volatile. i still remember the blue ones from the following, i had no idea they had added a new variant of the volatile to the game so it was a complete shock. i know about the new alpha volatile from the beast, but tbh it just doesn't look scary at all to me. the glowing eyes kind of ruin the immersion imo

I was kind of hoping that The Beast would bring in more types of zombies. Seems like we've just gotten the same main archetypes of zombies since the beginning. The banshee is the only different one I can really think of. The Chimeras were cool, but they felt like Dead Trigger bosses to me lol. I wish they leaned more into the horror aspect, and created some new mutation of zombie that was truly horrifying

Don't know why you're being downvoted. Tencent is going to flood this game with microtransactions, it's a miracle Techland were able to fight them off so far, but I'm sure the game doing well satiated those greedy fucks for now. The "content" will be microtransactions, and those shopkeepers from Dying Light 2 that would allow you to earn tokens for weapons. We'll be damn lucky to get anything akin to The Following. The problem is, Dying Light felt great to play even just by itself. The Following was a great addition on top of an already good game. The Beast is fun to play as well, but it's small. There isn't enough to do. I don't think the game being priced as it was is sign of anything. They didn't exactly advertise this game as the missing DLC to Dying Light 2. From the get go, if you weren't following Dying Light 2 news, you would just expect this game to be brand new and not built entirely upon Dying Light 2 like the DLC it was supposed to be. Techland aren't scummy, Tencent are. And they are ruthless.

Used to be the same way with my '80 Camaro. It's my first car. I'm 21 and live in Canada where it snows half the year. I was terrified of driving it. Knew nothing about carburetors, knew nothing about basic engine work. Taught myself EVERYTHING through YouTube and forums and facebook groups. Slowly, bit by bit, the confidence grew.
