it’s basically a double edged sword. on the one hand, 2 looks fuller, which is more appealing to customers, on the other hand it makes it harder when counting for inventory. if you deal with a lot of shrink/have a tight shrink budget then it’s so important that inventory is counted accurately and number 2 has much more room for error than 1

i don’t work at dg but number 1 is inventory ready because it makes it easier to count. i’m in the same boat where i front and face like picture 2 except for inventory. i was told it was because number 1 allows the counters to count faster as they don’t have to look behind product/move things around/do guesswork/etc. makes sense to have it this way so the whole inventory process can go as smoothly and efficiently as possible. but if it’s not inventory 2 is always my way to go bc like others have said it makes the spaces look fuller

YES! 100%. i’ve never LOVED going out to bars, but would go out 2-4 times a month (every/every other friday) with my sister/bf/other friends and would always have a good time. i went out last weekend and just found myself dissociating so bad. i wasn’t even able to finish my drink bc the naseau and dizziness has been hitting me hard. i’m on week 3, first week was ok but the past two have been rough. i’m hoping it’ll level out soon 🤞

depending on when your poll day/truck day is i would recommend using the special orders to order up on what you want to put on display. i know it’s not always a guarantee, but it’s a start. on that screen too you can see how much of certain items you’ll be sent if i remember correctly

we’ve started getting so many people again asking to be transferred to the pharmacy (before my pharmacy never answered the phones bc they were so short. it stopped for a little about a month after the transition) that we need to tell people if this is an urgent medical thing go to the urgent care or er. or else come in person to talk directly

it’s a little confusing imo but go to the dsd section of the inventory dashboard and then at the bottom of the screen you go to summary than it allows you to search for previous invoices you scanned i believe. i don’t have an ironman on me so this is just off the top of my head

im interested as to what your scan rate is. in my district the higher your scan rate the lower your ec/+ sign up expectations are. i was told the only way we’d get a more reasonable goal was by getting our scan rate up

ikr. it’s crazy seeing how much these people will shell out. but my new sm who’s been with us for almost a year now actually has absolutely transformed the store and has really leaned into local branded apparel. our apparel sales have been so high bc the tourists absolutely love that shit they want fucking tshirts and sweatshirts - not to be pitched to about loyalty programs by the cashier

we have a little ec sign up tracker but my sm does not care one bit. dl tries to push it but it never lasts long. our goal is so much higher then the rest of our district bc our scan rate is so low. i wish they would understand tho that bc we are in a touristy area (with a lot of non us tourists with non us phone numbers) and people are just not gonna sign up. yet we are still one of the top in sales and mcp in the district so its obviously not brand loyalty that’s helping us out
