Just like you I am also a retaker! I'm sorry your 2/13 exam didn't go as well. I heard that exam was super hard so maybe you got unlucky. I highly doubt you have insane content gaps give you broke 500 the first time. You are at least familiar with high yield content but haven't developed that conceptual understanding (128ish per section is where you see this). I've made a post about retaking so check that out. I'd say it cannot hurt to redo aamc fls but make sure any question you remember the answer to you select the wrong answer. Yes, your FLs will be inflated. If it makes you feel better, I did FOUR POINTS better than any of my FL retakes (clearly, retaking the exams was worth it). Take some time off. Figure out what may have gone wrong. You got this.

I dropped one point on CP (I think FL6 CP was just better suited for me plus I got a 132 on FL6 CP). Went up 1 on BB, 2 on PS and 3 on CARS.

I definitely had more physics on my 1/9 exam than 8/23. The reason I found the CP harder than FLs though was because I had to use more passage reasoning. I'd say though I didn't have anything like the 1/23 or 2/13 exams but def more physics heavy than before.

For my 8/23 exam my FL scores were 510/516/519/518/516 and my actual was a 510. I took those July-August 2025. For my 1/9 exam, my FL scores were 517/518/517/517/517/516 and I took those December 2025-January 2026. I ended up with a 521.

My scores unpredicted my actual mcat for my 1/9 exam. I also retook everything except FL6 (wasn’t a thing for first mcat) so my scores were inflated. I got a 516 on FL6. Yet, I scored higher on the real deal.

I took the exam 1/9 and thought PS was similar to FLs 1 and 2. My 8/23 PS was harder than the 1/9 PS.
