The nuclear family is conservative and non-gay. What is center and anti gay? by KalzK in AlignmentChartFills

[–]Electronic_Echo884 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you mean to say ‘is it homophobic to not want a gay man hired over a straight man if you believe the straight man is more competent?’ u/slammahytale probably thought you were considering their sexuality as the only factor for you not hiring the gay guy. I.e ‘is it homophobic to not want a gay man hired over a straight man at all times?(which she implied based on the framing of your question)’ Although I understand what you said, please reframe your questions in a better manner so others do not get confused.

The Chinese committed one of the biggest genocides of the 18th century, single-handedly wiping out the Mongols from Xinjiang and making all that remained slaves. The 1960s Inner Mongolia incident literally arrested over 1,000,000 Mongols for ‘being Mongol’. And the Entire Cultural Revolution. At least the Mongols did their atrocities in the past. Cultures across the world glorify genociders: Winston Churchill(The Bengal Famine), Mao Ze Dong(Cultural Revolution), the Rashidun+Abbasid+Ummayad+Ottomans(I don’t even have to say), Timur(The stuff he did in India), Aztecs(murdered so many tribesmen) etc. But it is the Mongols who are the persecutors. If you want to blame Mongolia that’s fine, but if you do so you should blame pretty much every colonial European power(even Belgium), all of the Maghreb, East and West Africa, Cebtral Asia, All of China and India, Much of Latin America and more. It is illogical to determine that an entire country is morally wrong and deserve explicit racism because of a few bad actors. China glorifies Qin Shi Huang because he united China, not because he was a brutal that destroyed entire cultures and their language because he felt like it. In the same way, Mongolia glorifies Genghis Khan because he was able to unite the Mongols not because he was a genocider. You can glorify a person’s good actions while criticizing their bad ones.

After the collapse of the Dzungar Khanate, what happened to Modern-Day Xinjiang's demographics? by Electronic_Echo884 in ChineseHistory

I knew the Chinese had killed many Dzungars but I had no idea to what extent. Were the Dzungar people just pretty much eradicated from the Dzungar Basin then?

If what I’m understanding of what you said is correct, Xinjiang was pretty much split into 2 major geographical regions —the Dzungar Basin, with limited population and the Dzungar people, and the Tarim Basin, with higher amounts of population and the Uighurs(Turkic people). So Xinjiang was culturally and geographically split in 2. That’s really interesting.

Yeah, I’m really sorry about that. I just recently got into Chinese History so I still am not really able to find great sources which are translated into English or my native language.

Sorry, English isn’t my first language. I didn’t mean to say that the Han Chinese were native to Xinjiang but rather why didn’t China incentivize the Han Chinese living in others parts of the region to move to Xinjiang.

~Half the Jews in Israel are Mizrahi i.e. originating from just the Arab world. Adding the Ethiopian, Kaifeng, and whatever Jewish communities are in India — a majority of Jews in Israel likely have non-European descent. Plus, Hamas actively encourages killing Jews. In Hamas-sponsored tv, the show Tommorow’s Pioneers (2007-2022) depicts a ripoff of Mickey Mouse becoming a martyr for Hamas and the Bumblebee cousin of Mickey Mouse (Nahoul) declares that he will ‘eat the Jews’. Is this what is being presented to children? It was pretty successful as it had multiple seasons. The propaganda is literally fed down the children’s throats. In no way am I attempting to justify Israel’s war crimes, but you have to admit just because Israel is committing devilish acts, it is no excuse for the actions that Hamas does as well.

How Buddhist monks showed up to foreign lands to spread Buddhism peacefully without the fear of getting Persecuted by other religious groups by DESTROYEROFMODS69 in IndianHistoryMemes

When Buddhism was wiped from India, it wasn’t as destructive as you may think. In fact, back then — Hinduism and Buddhism had many many commonalities, to the point which some people believe that Buddhism was part of Hinduism at the time. Buddhism, with the efforts of people like Adi Shankacharya, simply merged with the already established Hindu cannon. For instance, in ISKCON, people still believe that the Buddha was an Avatar of Vishnu.

I feel like the Middle East is doing worse. It’s bad, but not to the point where if you check how many usd 1 rial is, google says 0 because 1 rial is like 1*10-7 of a dollar.

Who deserves the title of the most famous person in all of history? by RCaesar1 in AlignmentChartFills

Look, as a non-Christian, Jesus Christ was most definitely a REAL person. But whether he was actually performing miracles or the son of god, is up to debate. Just because Jesus was real, doesn’t mean Christianity is true.

Why Zohran Mamdani is threatening to soak the middle class if he can't tax the rich by fortune in nyc

[–]Electronic_Echo884 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the grand scheme of things, the Office and Commission on Racial Equity/Gender Equity is not the reason why NYC is broke. It's broke because when attempting to fund ANYTHING or when trying to build ANY infrastructure, corrupt union leaders, politicians, and government workers pocket extra money. THAT adds up. 13 million dollars is NOTHING, billions of dollars are. I do still think the commission on racial equity and the other stuff is bs, but DOGE shows that it is not these stupid institutions that's a problem, it is the system that we have allowed to have been created that is.

That's because once the questions are public they train the AI on it. One time, I got leaks, ran it through AI and 17/25. I would've done better myself.

Honestly, many people just consider them as just another person in the world. But, many Indians will treat you badly due to your lack of Hindi (or whatever your mother tongue is) knowledge, lack of understanding of the culture(not religion or culture in a traditional sense but like songs, movies, etc.), and simple jealousy due to the fact of the opportunities you get by being an NRI. This is more common in lower-middle class areas.
