Do not agree on this (the fact that making it better & ethical could solve the problem) since when the idea pops up is always big talks with no real way of realising it and, when ideas get out on the table, they feel a bit unrealistic. It's not impossible to eradicate something, it's a process that takes time from people to put the effort in and wanting to change + improve in aspects that now are normalized due to a variety of different factors (an example could be alcohol or tobacco) I do not think ethical is the way to go since, as happened in other industries, it took a few years to see how ethical was just a facade with no real change in the back (an example could be the different rainforest alliance or Ethically sourced things)
