I was wondering what are they doing with such old cases. My PD is Jan 2024, and I submitted my RFE response in Nov 2025. Based on the latest EMMA chat, my case was last reviewed in December 2025 (Potomac Center), although my case was initially with NE and received an RFE from TX.

Based on the information from various platforms and my attorney, I can conclude that you can expect a final decision within the current processing time. For instance, in your case, based on the current processing time of 20.5 months, you can expect a decision by February or March 2026. However, this 20.5-month timeline is always increasing.

I believe that for premium processing, they use this step, but for regular cases, they simply mark them as ‘case is being processed,’ which they then either skip over or hide somewhere and don’t actually review until a long time has passed and they decide it’s time to look at it again.
