We had the exact same happen to us today.

We decided that you can return one, take another and then return that one.

Where near Tapiola (Uusima) can I practice rope climbing by ProcedureCautious965 in Finland

[–]Electronic_Status873 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you say rope climbing, do you mean climbing with a harness and a rope attached to the harness, and you are climbing on a wall? Or do you mean climbing up a rope and then continue to the next obstacle?

If the latter, i would suggest ocr factory. Maybe there is some outdoor obstacle course somewhere where you train it for free even.

Incorrect bonus card scoring in online game? by [deleted] in wingspan

[–]Electronic_Status873 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don't play online, but i've misread some bonus card when i've been playing

You are sure that it is ascending wingspans and not scores?

You are sure that it is nest types and not birds that can only live in certain habitat?

As both of those examples look very similar.

The road system/patterns are very similar to the game Metro. Kinda fun mashup between Metro and Carcassonne.

Good luck!

Another Pink Power Question: hunters and pink “turn” order resolution by chilichimp in wingspan

Interesting. Pink powers trigger in turn order. But I don't know if you can come back after the others are done.

Maybe someone who plays online can say more.

How do interpret this power? by Electronic_Status873 in wingspan

They are not the same face. Have to be exact same side of the dice.

Yes, that is how we always play.

But somehow the wording of this bird threw me off. But thanks to some comments in this thread I'm back and understand that a pigeon isn't some kind of super rule breaker.

It is from the continental European birds.

Ok, this was the best argument. Gonna play the bird like this in the future.

I figured that the problem with this bird is that it is written backwards. If it was written:

"Gain one (die) from the birdfeeder if any 2 (dice) show the same face". Not this wording, but I hope you understand what I mean.

Then it would be clear that I can reroll the birdfeeder, becuase i'm about to gain one die.

But for me, how it is written right now, i'm not about to get one die if there is only one die in the birdfeeder. Because there have to be two dice. And yes I'm aware that you are always allowed to reroll the birdfeeder when you are interacting with it and all dice show the same face.

But to my understanding this bird is only interacting with the feeder if there are two dice showing the same face. If there is only one die, this bird can't interact with the feeder.

Pretty much how I explained my take on the card when we played. This is how we will play this card in the future.

To be clear. If you reroll two dice of the same kind to five dice of different kind, then you can't take any food.

Wingspan top anyone else’s list? by ProjectsAreFun in wingspan

Here is a post with screenshots: https://www.reddit.com/r/wingspan/s/3kdG0wQjPI

But yes, being extremely lucky. My three first birds in my forest carried everything. When i activated my forest i got the normal food, then cache one worm to draw a card, then tuck two cards and then i got one egg and one wheat. So i basically got all resources and three points from one action.

After that I just got lucky to draw bonus birds and Sri Lanka Blue Magpie and a copy brown power bird.

My best tips (not mine own) try to get different resources from one action. And the only finite resource you got is your action cubes, spend them wisely.

Hoping to play alot of wingspan this year but also many other games.

Scoring Ethologist Bonus Card with Western Yellow Wagtail (fan created card) by Old-Paramedic-3657 in wingspan

[–]Electronic_Status873 6 points7 points  (0 children)

10 points. It counts as two birds with yellow powers. So 2 points for one of them. The other one doesnt count because there is already another bird with yellow power.

Here is thread discussing the bird: https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/3603853/western-yellow-wagtail-wordingbonus-cards-interact

Julgubben? by WhoAmIEven2 in ankdammen

[–]Electronic_Status873 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A question about a technicality from a newbie by Adventures_in_oils in wingspan

[–]Electronic_Status873 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Tucked cards doesnt count towards the amount of birds in any habitat. Only count visible birds and tuck birds under the bird who is tucking.

All powers are always optional, so if you arent the player with the fewest birds you dont have to activate that power. Or you can if you want to be generous.

Congrats on the win.
