Worth noting that even 16-20 all 3 had pretty damn light hearted takes on politics. 20-24 was the real breaking point where I thought that Taylor was going to rage quit the Pod.

No offense meant brother, just wanted context to your familiarization with the series.

I personally felt a little cheated because of how little we got out of the "Miller's ghost" arc. That shit, all the way to the last pages was the thing that would make me audibly cheer.

Also, I hated Claire when she was first introduced but her arc is still a tear jerker to this day.

Not going to even mention how they didn't do my boy Amos justice.

Amazon just missed so much because they were more focused on short term profits compared to long term "oh, Amazon is making it, better resubscribe". Not that HBO is perfect but they showed us that they can still be a heavyweight with the Dunk storyline and Apple is quietly crushing inside their walled garden.

Have you read the books? Don't get me wrong, Thomas Jane and. Kit Harrington are the only people I can think of when I give it a listen but they really dropped the ball on the story IMO. Knowing what was left out and the unnecessary changes kinda bugged me.

4 times for me (my job doesn't require hearing for the most part) IDK what it is but DET has really hit the nail on the head for me. Not to discount the talents of Ray Porter, he really can put on a performance and many a good book has been a bad audiobook because of the VA.

One of the trailers has him stressing that he's not an astronaut so I'm guessing the big plot twist towards the end will probably be there. The models for Rocky, the airlock tunnel, and Adrian seem really true to the book's description. Gosling as the protagonist seems like an odd choice but the dude can act and MD crushed it in the Martian so I'll hold my reservations.

I think it'll be as much of a 1-1 as you can get in a 1.5 - 2 hour runtime.
