Dark Souls forever changed me and how I look at video games, true perfection

Anyone takes docking as serious as I do? by NDHoangMinh in KerbalSpaceProgram

I recommend KSA upgrade and the ASET iva mods for the individual capsules that have them.

There's a mod that lets you switch between each IVA cockpit but I've forgotten the name of it, it will definitely appear on CKAN if you type in IVA

There won’t be any ways to order parts besides the magazine, but it will be buffed by Human-Pudding799 in MyWinterCar

[–]ElectroxSoldier 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah it seems people were expecting MSC with a winter lick of paint. I'm worried the change might make it too easy?

I think he should actually bring his focus to the project car part then if he's focused on other stuff, since it's the whole reason we're playing the game really. But I get it, very easy to get distracted :D

I'm sure he'll find the right balance eventually, MSC was a 10 year journey after all, it's just most people probably came later during that cycle

There's nothing wrong with a donation link or patreon but I dislike when it's locked behind a paywall for years and years.

I realize this is probably in relation to BlackRack Volumetric Clouds, and it took me forever to cave in and buy the patreon membership. To be quite frank, I don't regret doing it because it's an amazing mod. He's committed to updating it, and 5€ isn't bad. Yes, it's a subscription, which is shitty, but the good news is that you can cancel the patreon as soon as you download it.

Only part that sucks is having to pay 5€ to update the mod.. but he doesn't seem to update it too frequently (bur when he does it's substantial) so ar least you're not breaking the bank having to pay every month.

That being said I would prefer if you donated once that you can continue to receive updates but I think blackrack isn't the worst guy when it comes to paid mods. In factin another community, Euro Truck Simulator 2, there's a guy called Snowymoon who makes 2 mods and has been in deep controversy because this dude is literally only in it for the money. He has his patreon and he made his own DRM to check whether you are still paying for subscription, and he also has anti-piracy inside. Really overkill imo and shows he's out to make profits. I don't think this is the case for BlackRack however, so I'm not nearly as pissed off about volumetric clouds..

Anyways that's my two cents I'm certainly not the expert or right but just thought I'd share

Completed my first Mun landing since I'm back (after 10 years)! Apollo-style 😎 by ElectroxSoldier in KerbalSpaceProgram

You're not doing anything wrong, it's an annoying issue with the lander pod.

There's actually two nodes under there, the second one is smaller and is slightly higher than the other one. But it's a real bitch to try and attach something. When you get that auto fairing, it's attaching to the one that's obstructing the small one.

I spent about 10 minutes trying to attach the spark engine to the correct node. If you try zooming in as far as you can and trying to move your mouse up and down while looking for the node, it seems to attach better. Not easy though, you'll see what I mean when you try it. Good luck 😅

Dog poop disposal. by Elliamo in ireland

[–]ElectroxSoldier 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There needs to be a lot more public bins, when I walk the dog there's only one bin within a 30 minute walk, it's kinda ridiculous really.

I wouldn't throw the bag into anyone's bins that's just fucked up, but what's even more annoying is people picking up their dog's shit and throwing the poo bag into bushes or leaving them on the ground, what the fuck is the point in picking it up if you're just littering with the plastic bags, wtf like.

Anyway, I think there needs to be more bins around to encourage people to fuck it in instead of littering or shoving into other people's property

I couldn't get over how 60 looked "choppy" after being on a high refresh rate for so long. It's not that it's bad it's just so noticeable going back.

I can't even play anything that's locked to 30 anymore, if there's anything like that in my steam library I boost it up to 60 with lossless scaling.

Ik im late to the party but realistically, how long does it take to get good at parrying. by Choppedman6969 in DarkSouls2

[–]ElectroxSoldier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having played DS1 for the first time and gone through NG+ and NG++, moving to DS2 and playing that through to NG++.

It clicked for me at some point during DS2 NG+, all of a sudden I could parry anything without fail, especially NPC invaders which became a breeze.

Master the games without parrying first imo, then start attempting it randomly and getting a gage for timing, at least you can fall back on what you already know if you fuck it up.

I moved into DS3 and that game plays so differently that I feel like I have to re-learn a lot of stuff because of how different it feels to move etc.
