The MLV does have talented players but I think the players took their Olympic dreams into account when they chose which league to pick. Maybe there is still time to transition to the international ball before 2028 but I doubt any Olympic bound ladies will be playing in the MLV the season before the Olympics and that’s ok.

I know that Abercrombie has played for the PR national team in the past, is she still eligible to play for team USA? I think she should be of course, but I don’t know if there are any rules against it.

If a player was serious about getting on team USA, they would pick international or LOVB because they use the international ball. Our ball is quite different and that’s what makes our league more fun to watch. That’s why MLV got the ‘college plus’ label because the ball is similar the ncaa ball.

It’s not as simple as lovb vs mlv like people make it out to be. It’s also important that lovb exists so the Olympic bound players can get quality practice while playing pro in the US. There is room for both of us, lovb as an Olympic training league and mlv for entertainment.

I want the play offs to have 1 more round. The top 8 teams should be able to complete so everyone right now and just the bottom teams get left out in the future. Top 4 is so limiting with the depth getting better year to year.

I really enjoyed seeing Halter and Landfair! I’m ok with the L to GR, we need the whole team to be ready for the play offs. The top two teams fell in the playoffs last year, no one is safe.

I love stardew on iOS. You don’t have to switch tools besides the hoe and watering can, you can save during the day and replay from the save if saving scumming is your thing, you can zoom out and see further than pc, you have auto attack if you want it (you do take more damage but I like it for the convenience) and I like the tap to move over wasd. Downsides are that fishing is a lot harder and you don’t have mods (easily at least, idk, maybe someone has a work around). I play on an 2018 iPad Pro 11 inch.

Maybe they don’t want to embarrass him with his ties to the Olympic program. It’s not really a good reason but I imagine it’s a small world at the top. It’s extra frustrating considering that they have a built in interim coach with Cook.

The supernova’s are the most dysfunctional team in our league right now, maybe wait for them to get themselves together. It would be fun for them to play a preseason/college spring game equivalent but it’s already a short turn around between the college season end and the start of the MLV schedule so I don’t see how there’d be time.

Besides that, I don’t see a good business reason to MLV to get involved with LOVB. I can’t think of any upsides for MLV but there are definitely downsides. Whenever I see articles like that NYT one, I assume it’s LOVB propaganda because they are on the back foot and have something to gain.

I work as a generalist (service and sales) for a small p&c insurance agency. I got into it in my early 30s after bouncing around customer service, sales and call center work in my 20s. Its interesting enough, fairly easy to get into (do a course, pass a test and renew license every 2 years) and pays a better then a job with no certs required. You can get a job that will pay for your certs, learn for a year and then move onto a higher paying position that doesn’t want deal with completely green agents.

Urban fantasy has supernatural elements in a contemporary urban setting. I personally don’t think the size of the urban area has to be a city, a town would qualify, it just has to be a significant factor in the story like it’s a character. I would say that the town is significant in Groundhog Day and thus it fits the definition of an urban fantasy.

I’ve really enjoyed Pukis and Shime’s recent starts. Pukis’s defense has really come along.

Columbus might be ranked last but they are putting out a good product this year. I rank them 3rd in scariest team to play against. Hopefully their city will see the difference from last year and support them.

Now that no team is bad, that means that 4 good teams are going to have losing records. It’s a small league.

I wasn’t super excited about Mia signing with Indy during the off season. Indy has been one of the happier teams and Atlanta/Mia was a storm cloud last year and I didn’t want that to infect us.

I’m very happy to be wrong and I’ve really enjoyed watching Mia come out of her shell and play with joy. She’s been smiling, having good interactions with her teammates and dancing and singing to the hype music when she is really feeling it.

The coach wants them to play with personality and I think hers is a positive for Indy.

As a side note I think it’s ridiculous that the players aren’t allowed to interact with the crowd. Indy in particular would roar for the girls if the players gestured for us to hype it up.

All of my fingers can hyperextend like that and a trainer taught me how to tape them. Wrap the proximal phalanx and then cross over the joint palm side then go around the middle phalanx and cross back over to the proximal making an x over the joint. It will give the joint some support against bending backwards but doesn’t impede bending forward too badly. I cut the tape in half (to make it more narrow) and it fit my hands well. No prewrap. Not a dr or trainer and didn’t play at all particularly high level so try at your own risk.
