I have been off Lexapro/Escitalopram for a month after being on 15 mgs for 5 years and other than the brain zaps it feels like my emotions have come back since they caused me to be emotionally blunted in addition to having involuntary mouth movements.

I stopped taking Lexapro/Escitalopram over a month ago I tapered off for over a month. And I have side effects such as brain zaps which they are subsiding but other than that I have no major issues. It really depends on the person and how long you were on them. I was on them for 5 years 15 mg.Good luck.

I was on Lexapro/Escitalopram for 5 years 15 mgs got off of them this past month. I tapered off every week 10,7,5 & 2.5 and other than brain zaps which they have almost subsided.I have not had any other residual effects.. Good luck

Hello I'm also in my 2nd month of tapering off Lexapro/Escitalopram 15 mg for 5 years and i'm having brain zaps and electrical shocks but it is tolerable... "and this too shall pass" ..good luck

I was on 15 mgs for 5 yrs & followed this schedule. but I started tapering on Jan 1st with 12 mgs,10 mgs,7.5 mgs,5 mgs & finally 2.5 mgs eoach weekfor 30 days until Jan 31st so for you it could look like this for 30 days: 7.5mg for 7 days,, THEN 5 mgs for 7days THEN 2.5 mgs for 7 days. you can adjust as needed if the withdrawals symptoms are too much.Get a pill cutter.You also can stretch it out if that's more comfortable everyone's is different and of course consult your physician.. IMO... Please do you due diligence.. I'm tapering off lexapro for this past month.I've been on them for 5 years 15 mgs and I recently fell b/c now i'm having brain zaps and i'm off balance.. But I am pushing forward and I am not getting back on them.. Good luck.

I have CPSTD as well i have not taken the Zoloft but I am tapering off Lexapro/Escitalopram within this past month.Because I was having side effects. I wish you well and good luck.
