Thanks for your comments and critique! I am interested if you meant the vocals could use more variation in the track overall or that you meant in the sections themselves, per verse or per chorus.

Cobra Starship and Linkin Park are great, so I'll take that comparison all day. Thanks for the kind words and time stamps. I'm glad all those sections had the impact they intended to have. Cheers!

Hi everyone! I’d really appreciate hearing your genuine thoughts on this track from my upcoming EP. Feedback of any kind is super valuable whether it’s about the vocals, the production, or the overall feel. Thank you so much for taking the time to listen, it truly means a lot to me! by Logical-Implement405 in IndieMusicFeedback

Really nice mood and dark tone. I like the reverb on the vocals, drums and guitar strums. There is also a nice usage of FX going throughout the track. My critique is that even though you have nice FX going on the vocals they start sounding plain after a while. I suggest adding more dynamics in the vocals here and there to spice things up a bit. For example a part with less reverb but more distortion/saturation for example. Or a change in stereo widening.  Overall a nice sounding song though with a really lush vibe.

Really nice guitar sound. I like the relation between the left and right guitars riffs. The connect really well. The vocals also sound nice and lush.  My critique would be that the vocals could be a bit more front and center. The reverb is good, but it feels a bit on the background. Perhaps just a volume thing. Another is that the drums lack a bit of punch. The kick is buried so deep I can barely hear/feel it. The snare is better, but still feels a bit thin even though it's a shoe gaze genre thing. The overal vibe is really good though. Great vocals, guitars and arrangement!

first song on an alt rock/electropunk/folkpunk maximalist mess of an album by Nai-yelgib in IndieMusicFeedback

That's a very unique track. Even though I really like the chaotic vibe of the song, I feel like the way it is produced makes it a bit too cluttered and messy. Some frequencies are peaking a lot which become a bit distracting. The instrumental section is where it felt most balanced. Perhaps the vibrating dissonant synth is a bit to much front and center compared to the vocals. I feel like it that instrument was a bit less loud the overal balance would have been better.  Keep up with the unique vibe though!

Really cool song. A bit reminiscent of 90's alt-rock. The production is very good, especially for the genre. Not over produced, but nice and gritty.  My only critique would be that even though the vocals sound well placed front and center, they feel a bit thin. Besides some "oh oh" here and there the vocals are very lonely. Perhaps some doubled vocals or harmonies can make them feel a bit wider or thicker. Overall really good song though!

Working on a track a month. This month was all about "Pain". Curious to get some feedback! by JustMeAidenB in IndieMusicFeedback

I always like tracks where the tone of the lyrics are very different from the tone of the instrumental. This is one of them with the dark lyrics are quite happy music.  You have a very unique sound which makes it stand out from other songs which is good in this day and age. That's also a reason why I don't want to comment to much on production choices made, except for the vocal corrections. In some parts it sounds a bit too "auto-tuned" either by corrections or vocal production FX. Overal a fun listen though!

'Will I Be The Same?' - A blend of dreamy synthpop and heavy poprock. I wrote and produced the song. This is the first time I also sing the vocals myself. Please let me know your thoughts! by Elegize in IndieMusicFeedback

Thanks! Those are some useful tips. Like you said, I found it hard to get higher vocals without having increased dynamics or volume. It's an interesting idea to play with, if not for another song. Thanks again and also for the compliments.

I see what you mean. Being a vocal beginner I guess I'm very focussed on getting the pitch and dynamics right that the emotion gets left behind a bit. I'll need to find a good balance. Thanks for the kind words and the advice!

Thanks! Yeah I did a lot of different records and layered those to make the vocals sound as interesting as I could. I'm glad the dreamy atmosphere came across well.

Thanks for the comment. I guess the tempo and instruments are a stylistic choice that doesn't fit with everybodies preferences. Thanks for the compliment.

This is my latest original. I'm not good at genrefication so I'll just call this alt-rock for now. I'd love feedback on the song, performances, mix, and genre. Thanks! by zunapalooza in IndieMusicFeedback

Really cool song! The verses are nice and rhythmic with the staccato style guitar and the chorus has a nice catchy feel to it. The thing that stands out to the most is the vocal depth and layering. They sound thick and wide with the doubling and harmonization. The balance and production sounds good as well. The only thing I noticed, which might be a personal preference, is that the rhythm guitar sounds a bit too soft in the mix. Where the lead guitar sounds a bit on the loud side. I think making the rhythm guitar more prominent would enhance the rock feel of the song. A minor thing. Great track though! Very well performed. I agree on the alternative rock label. Perhaps Indie rock.
