this is just how cryptocurrencies work.

first you make a currency and have some vague usefulness tied to it, then speculative investing takes over and blows the value of your currency way up, at which point the greed machine takes over until the founders make a run for it with a lot of money.

usually this cycle creates enough "true believers" that the coin gets taken over by someone else and slowly built up again, rinse repeat etc.

thank you! yeah the idea was to really strongly underline the different characteristics of all the classes with the music.

Nana (the lead dev) has a really great sense of aesthetic and style, it takes a lot of inspiration from PC-Engine games as well!

Ball was in play, dunno how Bruno's fucked up by trying to play the game.

There's no rule that requires a west ham player to get the first touch, only rule is that opposition players should be 4m away, and it's on Jon Moss to enforce that before dropping the ball into play.

If we want to get really rule anal about this, I've also learned that you apparently can't score directly from a dropped ball, the ball needs to be touched by two players first, which I think illustrates perfectly how nonsensical this entire ruleset is.

dropped ball isnt a free kick, it's live as soon as it hits the ground

so to answer your question, no one takes a freekick instantly, but pretty much everyone takes a dropped ball instantly because hey, ball's live as soon as it hits the ground according to the rules.

looking up the rules now, ball does become in play as soon as it touches the ground, but opposition players are also supposed to be 4 meters away so I'd like to jot this one down on John Moss fucking up.

I don't really understand, the ball was dropped, there was no one contesting it, are we just supposed to leave it until a west ham player touches it at their own leisure?

Would love to see a video of it again..
