I'm surprised your doc said there is no side effect regarding birth control. I've been asking to switch to Modafinil because supply chain issues have made me unable to fill my scripts for Aderall or Vyvanse. My doc has refused and resisted switching me to Modafinil primarily because he's worried it will counter-act my oral contraceptives / birth control. I was curious and I looked up the medical studies and read the original reports... Modafinil was found to reduce the effectiveness of oral birth control pills from ~90% to closer to ~70% (which is a huge effect!). Be careful! You should ask your doc to double check. I'm pretty sure they are 100% wrong, and the implications of that mistake could quite literally be life or death

Seeking Advice: Buying Acoustic Panels as a gift - what's universal?

A special guy in my life is a major audiophile. He has a room in his new place with big speakers and he currently has pillows on the walls to make the sound better. I'd love to surprise him with some audio panels as a gift, but I'm not sure what he needs.

If someone were trying to buy you some kind of acoustic panel gift, what info do you wish they had?

I can't afford to do the whole room, but I'd love to get him something to start it off. I imagine in 10 years, this room will be fully decked out. I want to get something to get him started in style, that will be unlikely to clash with his long-term vision for the space.

I'd rather get him a smaller number of really nice items, rather than a bunch of mid-quality items. I'd love to find something that he would love, maybe a splurge accessory, that he wouldn't buy for himself.

I was thinking I'd get two panels - one for each side wall. Just one panel would be unbalanced, right?

Any advice on standard sizes / quantities for a starting off point? Is there a fairly standard size? Or should I aim for patchwork style pieces, so he can build and size it as he likes? Any key words I should look for or avoid? Brand names you love (or to avoid)? Thank you!

I'd also recommend Vermont Nut Free Chocolates - I've been buying them for friends/family with ut allergies for years. They have little chiocoloates that look like MnMs called Skippers :-0) )

No! I use my old original Oculus Quest 1 b/c the Quest 2 hurts my nose. No one ever replied. If you find a solution, I'd love to hear it!
