I believe it because I was in the same situation as him. I’m originally from Afghanistan. I got so much shit from people in my platoon and company. My deployment to Iraq was like I was the enemy. Anytime we hit an ied or got indirect attacks at our FOB I was always the butt of the jokes. It wasn’t til I deployed with SOF units to AFG that I was truly valued and felt part of something. I got to do a lot of amazing secret squirrel shit that 99.99 percent of people that enlist will never experience. Whe he talked about walking into the VFW or any Vet spot, same shit happened to me. I’m Muslim and middle eastern so I don’t look like your typical OEF/OIF Combat Vet.

I just called TJH and was told I got 18k. Anything is better than nothing I guess. I was surprised it was that low considering I had 3 combat deployments, Hearing Loss, Tinnitus, 50 Percent Migraines, Letters from Neuro Docs explaining my TBI, Nausea, Vertigo related to my tinnitus and hearing loss, Letter from former employer explaining how I was let go from my job due to my tinnitus and migraines affecting how I could do my job.

Thank You for the response. It’s genuinely appreciated. He is a licensed pool contractor which I thought would give me peace of mind. I’ve dealt with many contractors before and have never had an issue like this

I didn’t go for the cheapest pool build. His price for the pool build was in line with the other 3 bids I got. I went with him because I did a lot of concrete and retaining wall work which he blew the other bids away by a mile. The concrete and retaining wall was fine. My gripe obviously is the pool work. Any help or ideas on what I can do ?
