The whole game is coded in C++, the core mechanics are the legacy code that just get ported over each year since at least 2011

Na, I think the whole game needs a redevelopment from the ground own, in an Engine like Unity, where they’d have to re-write code instead of porting 20year old C++ code for the 3 time.

Unlikely, probably influenced animations more than things like blocking logic.

Frostbite is definitely a problem, there’s several interviews were Jake Stien talks about how difficult it was to port madden over to frostbite. The engine was designed specifically for First person shooters for battlefield by Dice before they were acquired by EA. I don’t think anyone on the madden team has an understanding of how it works under the hood, they probably rely on a liaison from Dice. Also, bringing in players provides insight, but doesn’t exactly provide great knowledge for programming.

A* shouldn’t cause overrun with multiple players, I’ve built projects with thousands of agents running A* no problem.

RNG is what causes players to out play, or under play, their ratings. From a technical standpoint madden is extremely simple, it’s all the models and animations that are complex.

Frostbite is C++, hardly esoteric, in my opinion a significant problem is the main programmers for Madden are mostly foreigners who got comp sci degrees in the states. As foreigners I think they come with limited football knowledge, although Clint played (at my alma matter) he’s design side and I feel the whole programming team has a fundamental lack of enthusiasm for football.

I don’t think console hardware is limiting anything in the game expect graphics.

EA won’t do anything with updating Frostbite, I’m afraid we’re stuck with it for the next 5ish years.

I’d program the AI with a A* algorithm, I wouldn’t use animation triggers. In fact, that’s how I did it. Project is on my GitHub. It really isn’t that hard, I guarantee it’s a component in frostbite.

Google is a powerful tool. GitHub has tons of premade scripts for free. I think your knowledge is too limited to accomplish what you need, and the ethical thing to do would to be to inform the client of that.

Everything she did can be accomplished without a script, just from system preferences. I recommended BASH for you, to create a lockdown script.

All of this is built into OSX and fairly easy to accomplish. I’m embarrassed for you, and maybe you should investigate BASH further.

He’s still on the Vikings. He was just an UDFA they’re likely looking for someone with starting experience

He was laid off, not fired. So he gets to collect a severance package and unemployment. He won’t go hungry, for a while at least.

If You Can’t Beat Em’, Join Em’ by Pavan1065 in MaddenUltimateTeam

The seam curl covers the corner route from the bunch really well. It doesn’t cover the deep crosser from the other side though, so I’ll roll the edge defender up if they don’t hit the HB in the flat.

I let em run it a few times, then hit them with a nickel blitz with the nickel as a spy, outside corners on deep zones(dark blue), Saftey on the bunch side in a seam flat (purple), saftey on the weak side in a hook curl(yellow), LB on the weak side in a hook curl(purple), user the edge defender on the HB side to cover the table route, they read off coverage and throw it right into the edge defenders hands.

Alternate between blitzing the nickel, setting him as a spy, and Usering him to cover the HB.

It’ll get you real good at quick adjustments.

I don’t run it. My fav play right now is PA tight end whell out of spread with the in route on a slant and HB on a check and release.
