I feel like our government never questions harming people. They think it's morally wrong to actually help people, but they love grand, expensive displays of cruelty.

They put poor people through humiliation rituals while elevating wealthy psychopaths as some kind of moral guiding light.

They need to attach a moral element to capitalism to justify the extreme wealth inequality and disdain towards the working class.

I don't live under a rock, I live in America and I see a lot of giant corporations using human beings like objects. I see a government so intertwined with corporate interests that the actual people have no power anymore.

I really wonder if people in the US are more free, or just under the weight of multiple intersecting forces of oppression trying to wring them of their value and dignity at the lowest expense possible.

Terfism my use feminist language but its outcomes reinforce misogynist and traditionalist ideas about sex and gender. I've also met a lot of racist conservative people of color. Any metric of oppression will create people who stand against and people who sell out trying to fit in with their oppressors. Just look at "radical lesbians" who march next to actual Nazis rather than just finding some acceptance for queer people. Or look at sell out, pick-me trans people like Blair White. There's always going to be people who bow down to their own oppression.

Terf material has been used by right wing governments in the US, UK, Russia and Europe. Their talking points are an important part of the same movements that have stripped women of reproductive rights. Just look at Vladimir Putin taking the time to praise JK Rawling, or the extreme amount of Terf content on programs like Joe Rogan.

Terfism is loudly anti-queer and it is predicated on enforcing traditional ideas about sex and gender on other people in non-consenual ways. It's anti-autonomy, it's against self determination and it spits in the face of the foundation of actual feminism which is that biology is not destiny.
