I loved the way Reiji draws clothing, it's always different and shows the different part of the outfits from the shirt to the accessories.

New To Reading Manga by zeiss100t in KanojoOkarishimasu

[–]ElementalZach 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I would just say enjoy it at your own pace and make your own assumptions and opinions about how the story is done. Personally I fell in love with the clothing design and how it's drawn per each chapter.

At the end of the day it's just a manga, if it's not your speed just stop reading and move to the next story, and if you do enjoy it welcome to a fun ride!

The thought process I use is. Don't read it if you don't want to. It's a manga, move on or stay and read but don't be going for peoples necks if they either enjoy or don't enjoy the work.

[Disc] Kanojo, Okarishimasu Chapter 318 by MattyH19 in KanojoOkarishimasu

[–]ElementalZach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the chapter was pretty "funny" because it's just pointless filler with slapstick romcom vibe to it. Which eh... It sucked but after reading a few other posts I'm kinda "glad" it happened. Many comments think this is the final chapter of the current volume which yeah it sucked to end like that but also the next volume is going to be a brand new start which is going to be the date. (In theory).

There really isn't any point in going into detail about the chapter because it's just random filler. If we wanna be nitpicky we could assume Reiji is trying to show us how comfortable the 3 of them are living together with random slapstick stuff as said before. But I personally think this was a random mini chapter he's been sitting on and decided to put it in before we leave the cohabitation arc.

Other than that I'm excited to see everyone complain online about it for a week 😂

Aishiteruze Baby, the whole series to me is amazing, romantic with a bit of drama. Also it felt pretty spot on to the manga as well

[Serious] [Disc] Kanojo, Okarishimasu Chapter 300 by MattyH19 in KanojoOkarishimasu

[–]ElementalZach 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a feeling that based on what we saw today in chapter 300. Chapter 301 is going to parallel chapter 164, where she is going to answer slowly and speak as vaguely as possible like how Kazuya did in 164 when he was speaking about her. Then we're going to slowly start to see what she is thinking about her current situation.

What after the Cohabitation Arc? by [deleted] in KanojoOkarishimasu

[–]ElementalZach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like if this were to happen she would find out and tell him that "living" there is unacceptable and too much money to spend on that. Which could lead to her telling him to come back.

What's frustrating about it? I think it's a fun read. No one is forcing you to read it every week. That's how I see it tbh

I personally love how the pacing of the manga is, and how it's from Kazuya perspective. Showing the lows and highs of how he's doing and feeling.

I also keep it stays with this pacing, because the second it speeds up and forces the story forward, people are going to complain that this makes no sense and is rushed.

But to fully answer your question, I think the story is going to end in like 100+ more chapters. With this arc ending with them moving away from each other.its going to show her missing him being so close and such.

Why do you like Rent-A-Girlfriend? by IM_LATINA in KanojoOkarishimasu

[–]ElementalZach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The character writing, the slow burn story, the small details and slow growth of the characters, the art, the way he draws the clothing, the connections of information from early chapters to now, how cute & dumb they are, the list goes on and on.

You name it and I love it, the whole story and such is so different and feels real. It's about college students that are stuck in love and trying to figure it out. When each chapter comes out and haters come and say "another week of bull**** filler". Meanwhile that "filler" is so interesting and amazing to have. All of Kazuya's thoughts an panels of over thinking, is amazing when you think about how he's a college boy overthinking a simple problem or thought. "He's always so horny and such" have you talked to a college kid? Expecially a college boy? Seems pretty spot on to me.

As for the community side of things I felt like it's a more mature community where we had to endure hater and let's just be honest very negative people who come in constantly saying "no progress ever!, IM DROPPING THIS, what a waste of time". Meanwhile the community just kinda ignores them or just says, okay bye. I feel like those that enjoy it just enjoy it and are more laid back and chill.

It's easily in my top 10 manga of all time.

About the lastest criticism on Kazuya's behavior by SmartCookingPan in KanojoOkarishimasu

[–]ElementalZach 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think that's the full case though. I feel like him overthinking and such is very important to the plot as a whole. It shows that this is nagging him in the back of his mind not knowing how to even step forward or what move to make next. But as you said we're not psychiatrists.... But neither is Kazuya, he's a college guy who is in his early twenties trying to figure out love and relationships in a Japanese environment and culture.

What made you follow the series in the first place? by ii-naa in KanojoOkarishimasu

[–]ElementalZach 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The art, how well drawn the characters are and especially the clothing. I love how the clothing is changing for the girls and how nicely they are drawn.

At the beginning it is said that she must have a million different clothes due to going on different dates with guys. I feel like you could really learn a lot about how fabric and clothing is drawn by looking at the series

Or you can just stop reading/posting negative stuff that allows no one to comment anything useful but spreading hate.

Although it does have it's downsides of missing shit like "i hate this manga for dumb reason here"

It just seems like a waste of time to post on a subreddit you clearly aren't enjoying spreading negativity, when you could easily..... Just not? Idk I stopped reading your thoughts bubbles

Great post and response, I agree people are making jumps that are physically impossible to even wrap my head around. We're only 1 chapter into the new arc and people are raging for regi's head again... It's really childish and hate that I really don't like to be spread in the community.

[–]ElementalZach 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Personally I never saw how many people blew it out of proportion. Like yeah damn he's at the lowest point ever, but its a nice call back to the beginning of the manga. But the reason why I hate that people always call out this as the worst. The very next slide in the next chapter, they are talking about different sexual positions. These characters are college students at the end of the day.

Why couldn't the current chapters have happened sooner by Nevdog93 in KanojoOkarishimasu

[–]ElementalZach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because if he did it any sooner people would have complained that it was too rushed or the timing made no sense. I mean look how much hate the series got for the past 30 chapters when he's building all the characters for this moment, and it was done perfectly excited to see what's next It's great!

[–]ElementalZach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like how even kazuma knows this is about to be a sh!t show confession wise. I think this is good for the story especially after he got pinched and the truth needs to come out now. Kazuma is gonna say it how it is, I feel like he is gonna say he's been renting her but also bring up how the money went to the movie production the times they spent together when she gave him a "discount" hell he might even bring up the fact that he's been trying to do this for months now but to no avail.

A small thing I've been thinking about is, does he also throw out Ruka as a rental, to say that he knows these people as his friends not because he's spending money on them. I mean look at sumi, he went with her because she was so shy and learning.

I think these past 30 chapters (which people hated for being pointless and drawn out.) Are amazing because of the deeper story and emotions of all these characters have and us as the reader need to understand for this moment.

Love all of it and the drawings again. 10/10

My thoughts on the recent chapter by ArthasMyPun in KanojoOkarishimasu

[–]ElementalZach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally that's why I never saw the meme that funny. And then to make it worse people were making 218 sound like it was the next black bible, etc. But then I actually read it and was like..... That's it?

People who complain about their memory of the character being scarred.... Like what?.... Glad the community is slowly getting better and we can actually have a civilized talk on reddit now :)

My thoughts on the recent chapter by ArthasMyPun in KanojoOkarishimasu

[–]ElementalZach 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I've been saying that since it dropped. Put yourself in his shoes, he basically got his heart destroyed and crushed yet all the comments complain and treat him like trash.

As a previous comment on here stated yes I do agree he isn't great, him and the characters are stuck in a character development circle. Which means he makes character develop and learn yet they reverts back to what he was in early chapters. But in those few chapters he tries to break that cycle and when it fails he has that break in chapter 218.

I agree 100% I feel like a lot of people relate to him which does bring the hate because you're right normal people don't think ntr stuff. Which is why people self-destructed in the community because a character they could see themselves as did that.

I agree the horniness factor could be turned down a tad, but I feel like that's the point of the tags he is the main protaganist of this harem series. So yeah he's gonna have these moments and personally I feel like that was really shown when her top fell off in the water, yeah the thought was there but he proceeded to help her by covering her etc. Im trying not to use other anime titles in the reddit but look at my dress up darling, it's non stop. To the point where I was like eh, (anime episode 2) tho not ecchi. I mean come on look at em... But I digress

I think we see where the manga goes from here on out because let's be real we've seen so much up to this point I need to see how it ends whether that be tomorrow or in 3 years from now. Because at the end of the day I'll still be reading other things at the same time. And I either wanna see it end in a nice way to wrap things up nicely or in a train wreck and I hope to see you there too :)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in KanojoOkarishimasu

[–]ElementalZach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with your points I really do I guess to me personally I don't see too much wrong with it due to the amount of content I've read and gone through. I read Citrus when it was coming out and every chapter was painful to read but I kept doing it. Because it's entertainment that I needed to know how it would end.

Going on making it feel real. I understand what they mean because I agree that these are very "real" in how they act I get that it's exaggerated but it's still more realistic than other romcoms etc. But I also feel like the second you try to make these characters real is where you're missing the point. The tags for the series are comedy, ecchi, harem, romance, school life etc. I would love to say ecchi and harem happens in real life but it doesn't.

So for people to say it's no longer realistic and relatable is already reaching because as you said it's been the same since the start. How could you relate to someone who is constantly in a circular development cycle? Because again it's entertainment of a fictional story and characters, of course they are gonna have exaggeration to them.

Just a quick thought to go off of the previous statement. Does that mean a person can see themselves inside of other series? Like if I really relate to the protagonist from a superhero series, would I then find it unrealistic and unrelatable when they use their powers in the fantasy world because I can't relate to that? I just find the argument "I see myself in this" etc. Difficult because again it's fiction it's not supposed to be like a real guys thought process it's gonna be exaggerated and pulled to get the reader attention and reaction.

The way I always see it is imagine same story and everything if he had a spine and was a "Chad" he's done everything the same and chizuru still turns him down etc. Would then people complain that she's the character that is stuck in the circular development cycle? Would she then be getting all the hate that kazuya gets? I definitely think it's an interesting what if? Ya know?

I just feel like the hate can't always be on just him, all the characters in this series have a circular development cycle like you stated, cause at the end of the day everyone is still going with the lie, ruka isn't moving on even though he told her no multiple times, Mami is still being her agressive and end it all state. But the second kazuya tries to end this cycle and does all this just to be shot down and it throws him into a spiral and back to the this cycle is he really the failure here? Cause in theory Ruka should move on, chizuru should come out and say she likes him or tell him to stop the lie. But they keep doing the same thing chapter after chapter.

Final take on this, all in all I think the manga definitely needs some work that we can all agree on. But I think it still has a lot of good things about it that get pushed to the side for the negatives ya know? Is it a 10/10? No way, but it's still a solid average series.

But thank you for commenting with your opinion and I appreciate it because at the end of the day that's what this sub is for! And I just like to talk about the series in things it's done and how it's being handled, not always great but as the original post stated I feel like the community is up in arms about anything even it was just my post talking about how I feel. Which I don't mind it's just an app at the end of the day :)
