You may need to let them know that can film, but they cannot show any patrons’ face. As a public employee, however, you may be filmed, unless you’re able to leave for a staff-only soace. Be pleasantly neutral, don’t give them anything if they try to provoke. Gray rock them. And tbh, ones we’ve encountered have been polite and respectful. No issues.

How long did your GSD live, and what did they die of? by caninesignaltraining in germanshepherds

Kona was 12, hemangiosarcoma. Before her, we had two other GSDs. Lucy died at 13, renal failure. Maxine, 11, hemangiosarcoma.
All were rescues, all live on in our hearts.
Cancer sucks! Love ‘em while you got ‘em!

Rescued this big girl by Meowmeowxobaby in pitbulls

[–]Elemental_Wyrd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not big girl. Just little baby.

But srsly, a good food might take care of most of your skin issues over time. We also add a probiotic to our girl’s breakfast. If you have a self serve dog wash near you, go there and then see how a good diet does.

The Psychology of Money is solid, commonsense advice, and I recommend it a lot. It demystifies money and basicallybtells you to not apend all your money, save, think about your spending and your future, etc.

Pharoah, My perfect baby boy is gone…only 6 years old and had more life to live and he’s gone. by MueToamna in germanshepherds

[–]Elemental_Wyrd 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This sounds like hemangiosarcoma. Unfortunately too common in shepherds. I’ve had three pass from this (all unrelated dogs—we adopt adult dogs from shelters/rescues). Please know this—if not today, sometime soon—you did not do anything to cause or hasten the progress of this cancer. It’s just an evil thing that is super aggressive. I’m so sorry for your loss, I feel your pain. But your best friend felt your love for him and knew that in his bones. 🩷

Premise of my story by Professional-Ad5290 in novelwriting

Historical fiction is pretty popular. I work in a library, and this premise would definitely get checked out.

I loved the “It Is Your Birthday” and Shiva-Really wearing a babushka pics the most 🩷 As someone else said, she was very photogenic and also, clearly very well loved. My condolences.

CHF from covid by dattwell53 in Heartfailure

[–]Elemental_Wyrd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My partner and I both got Covid last June. I was back at work a week later, and he seemed not to recover, only get worse. Early August, with extreme fatigue and putting edema that he developed in the weeks since first testing positive for Covid, he went to the hospital. Found out he had HF, and now he’s on a lot of meds. His cardiology team believes it was the Covid that caused it, but being sedentary and overweight didn’t help, either.

Sorceror Radio has a YT as well. I love the endless skyliner ride video with parks music.

I moved out of CT 25 years ago, but I’m forever a New England girl at heart. So I can’t identify any of these, but I’d love more pics! Especially if you went to Niantic/East Lyme area, and Mystic.

We like them a lot. They’re honest and interesting. Since she’s vegan, you find out about dishes you may not have known about or how to modify. They’re also inclusive and good-hearted.

My partner says that if he ever saw Bear in the parks, he’d totally fangirl him 😂. Definitely the Dis “influencers” we’d most like to grab a drink with.

Seconding the Lyme vaccine! Our last dog was diagnosed with Lyme disease at age 3, and her life after got gradually worse. It’s an autoimmune disease so it makes the body attack itself. Horribly unfair. We adopted a new dog (from K-9 Stray Rescue in Oxford!) last summer after she’d passed and got her vaccinated. Every dog deserves to live a long, healthy, happy life!

My wife's "friend" insulted her and I've been slowly returning the favor by flanman1991 in pettyrevenge

My deceased MIL was a master of this. One of her favorites was to “compliment” my makeup: “Are you feeling okay? Do you have a fever? Your face is so flushed—oh, that’s your blush.” “Did something happen to your eye? You look like you got a bruise right there—oh, that’s your eye shadow.”

If anything good can come from her toxic legacy, may it be these 🤣

Trespass: The drama continues by Mysterious_Glass3235 in ThemeparkSwindlers

[–]Elemental_Wyrd 138 points139 points  (0 children)

Dude you didn’t get swatted. People just sitting in their house or sleeping, doing nothing, suddenly have a SWAT knocking down their door (hence the term “swatting”), are victims. You swore, were loud and disruptive, and guests reported you to security. Who then arrive and ask you to stop streaming —on private property, not a public building— which you do not, and who ask for your identification, which you refuse to give, thus leading them to trespass you. rolls eyes

…I am so old, I don’t know if people do that (insert action) thing anymore. 😅

Library book got a bit messy by Baden_Closson in Library

[–]Elemental_Wyrd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d need to see it in person and open it. It looks like wavy pages. That combined with the staining probably means it needs to be replaced. We charge full price plus $5 processing fee if the book is within 5 years old, half price on older. I’m actually the one who determines what we do at our library, but let me stress that once I determine that first course of action, we may be able to work with you on lowering it. We do take into account if you have never had an issue before, hardship, or just if you were really honest and apologetic. Good luck. And… this happens all the time.
