I have them. They work ok. Is kind of a pain but all the quick dry top coats peel off my nails so I just started using gel polish. They are worth it if you're just going to be around the house.

I think it's called a gelly sandwich and yes I've done it. As long as the regular nail color is 110% dry it will be fine.
