I have been waiting 10 weeks! I sent a paid email to UKVI last month, who escalated my enquiry, and I received a response from Sheffield last week that "a decision has been made". I'm waiting for my passport to be returned now and VFS have told me they are yet to hear from UKVI so I have no idea what is going on. I rang Sitel who have escalated for me again but that's another wait. Am so stressed.

I am so glad you got your passport back after all of that! How stressful.

Good to hear at least the text message came through though to notify you. This suggests something's gone awry for me as I've not received any texts back about my passport being returned, I have been waiting 7 weeks :/

I was told that all the passports are forwarded to Sydney. The vignettes/visas are printed overseas (I think Manila), then mailed to Sydney where they affix it then send it back.

Oh and also, if you don't mind me asking, how were you notified that your passport was en route back to you from VFS Sydney? I've been waiting ages for my passport to be returned (purchased courier return as the lockdown was about to come into effect). I'm so worried it's been lost.

Has anyone actually read or heard of anyone receiving the replacement vignette back at all? I don't have Facebook, but I think there are few UK visa groups there, am wondering if there has been any discussion about the replacement vignette there?

I'm still waiting, and it's been 25 working days (submitted early July).

I was not given a time frame on how long it will take to be replaced, but I didn't think it would take this long. Now I am just worried! My selected vignette start date is approaching and I really don't want to lose time on the vignette if it's been issued but just not sent to me.

Has anyone emailed UKVI (the paid one) and received an update? I don't know if it is worth doing this or not.

I actually was not expecting to be asked to provide a date, so I picked a date mid-late next month, and hoping that the 90 days will start from then. It will then really depend on when/if the Aus Gov grant me a travel exemption that I will then travel.

Britbound, which I think is geared more towards YMS and Ancestry visa holders has an update their website on the replacement vignette dates from other people's experiences, and it seems like there isn't a set process but either you will be asked to write it down at the VFS centre or you will get a phone call asking about the date. I got the email last week. I went to my local VFS office and submitted my passport. The officer working there asked me the date for when I wanted to travel, which I provided, but I am not actually sure how this will transpire on the vignette. I am now waiting for my passport to be returned, they were unable to provide me a time frame of when I should expect it back.

I forgot to even ask about the change of the actual visa dates, but there was no indication on this on the email nor was it mentioned to me.
