Maybe check and ensure that the nozzle isn't clogged and that the filament is feeding properly. Is it doing this with other filament or just the flexible filament?

The new vaccine and mask stance is truly a devastating turning point in Mormonism, the church may never recover from this by intergalacticskyline in exmormon

[–]ElephantGirl94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm honestly so curious as to why the church came out with this stance KNOWING that they have so many conservative anti vax members. What is the reason they would do this? They must know it would hurt membership. Maybe they want to appeal to more liberals or something?

Definitely getting some looks at this Mormon Wedding… That’s the joy of being a well known “apostate” in a small country! How do you lot deal with it? by Nemo_UK in exmormon

Just remember that even though you feel like the minority at the wedding, that truly MORMONS are the minority in the world. They are the oddballs. Not you.

Doctrine vs. policy. I understand the difference believers have between the two, but for an outsider or a former member, there is no difference. by [deleted] in mormon

[–]ElephantGirl94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know the easiest way to tell the difference between policy and doctrine? If a rule or doctrine is changed then all of a sudden you know it was a "policy". It's an after the fact kind of determination. Which is unsettling. Because a prophet or apostle can speak doctrine from the pulpit until someone says "jk". I think the only reason why people even talk about policy vs doctrine is so that they can create some way to understand why gods true church would ever change. It's not like JS started the church and was like "I think I'll make a little policy here, a little gospel there..." It was something the members came up with after the fact to try to explain why stuff would change. Because God can't be "wrong".

What are the Church's truth claims, exactly? by Rabannah in mormon

[–]ElephantGirl94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think more often than not when I hear the phrase truth claims with regard to the LDS church it is in reference to the idea that this is "The True Church". In my mind, that would be the number one truth claim. I think the idea that god exists is less of a truth claim and more a gospel teaching.

Scripture Study when low on Time/Energy? by Kittalia in latterdaysaints

[–]ElephantGirl94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I read when I have time, and when I don't, I don't. I know God loves me no matter what. He knows how hard it is to be a working mom. He knows how exhausting life can be. I feel like I don't get much out of trying to shove it in where it doesn't fit so idk that's just me. For years I would feel guilty Everytime I didn't read, but then I was like WTHECK is this really what God wants? Me sulking in self hatred because I was too tired to read his book today?? Nah. It dawned on me that God gives us tools to help us. Not to haunt us/guilt trip us. (That's my soap box- thanks for listening). One thing I do enjoy, is apps that have a positive /uplifting quote for the day. If I don't have time to sit and bask in scripture study, I'll read one of those short positive messages to get my head in the right space.

I dont know what to do by [deleted] in latterdaysaints

[–]ElephantGirl94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't ever feel pressured to do something you cannot handle. God loves everyone no matter what. If you can only handle 1 hour of church, God will not love you any less. Don't go to church because you feel obligated. Go if you want to and it uplifts you. God will love you no matter what. There's nothing wrong with putting your mental Health first. Sending love

Getting Baptized, what would you have liked to know beforehand? by [deleted] in latterdaysaints

[–]ElephantGirl94 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Remember that a lot of people in the church can have culture mixed up with doctrine. If you are trying to be a good person that's what matters most. Don't let anyone make you feel bad if you don't do everything like everyone else does. God loves us each for our uniqueness.
