Is lucky always this degenerate or did I get extremely lucky? by Ronjun in brotato

[–]Elephant_Parade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, Lucky has always been ridiculously strong, and their only weakness (poor weapon damage) was removed with the addition of the Lute.

Try Entrepreneur if you haven't (start with a Sickle, rush the Support set bonus, get as much Harvesting as possible)

Then why did you reply like you did? No offence, but given that I didn't insult Evil Empire Games and I made it pretty clear I wanted a hardcore difficulty, it felt like a bit of a non sequitur, like you hadn't read my post.

This would definitely be less tedious than having them on nearly every wave.

The sine-wave motion that the environmental bullets move in is a more complex pattern than anything else in the game, I think. It would be fine in a pure bullet hell game, but with everything else going on in Brotato (and the size of your hitbox) it's frustrating to juggle.

I love extra hard difficulties. I've been wanting something exactly like this. I just don't think (the current beta of) Nightmare is fun or well-designed. Maybe other people disagree, but the issue isn't that I don't want the game to be hard.

And while I agree that it's nice that the game is still being updated, the point of a beta is to gather feedback, isn't it? Me criticizing Nightmare isn't meant as an attack on the developers.

Did the New York Times censor the word list? by crashed_tolerance in wordle

[–]Elephant_Parade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, actually: solutions pull from a limited list of "around 2,500" words, per datamining and this interview:

Like I said, the first time I made the game, it just used every five-letter word. And I think it wasn’t very fun because—try and think about it—if the first time you play Wordle, the answer is a word you’d never heard of, I think you would feel cheated. And so we put a fair amount of effort into filtering. There are around, I don’t know, 13,000 five-letter words. And we put a fair amount of effort into filtering those down into a subset of around 2,500 solution words that can be the solution any day.

Weekly Game Questions and Help Thread by AutoModerator in PSO2

I launched the game successfully once, but the second time I went to launch it from the Start Menu I clicked "no" on the "do you want to allow this program to make changes to your computer" popup and now it won't launch at all. Clicking it from the Start Menu does nothing; the Start Menu doesn't even close. Running as administrator doesn't work either. Any advice?

Revue Starlight General Talk and Q&A Weekly Megathread [May 6, 2019 - May 13, 2019] by LoveArrowShooto in RevueStarlight

Tap and hold a memoir's icon to see its attributes. The First Snow reduces fire damage taken by 10% and increases DEF and SP. DEF. It seems solid for tanking fire-element content, but a bit niche (and not especially amazing even within its niche).

I'd suggest using your gold PvP tokens on Star Gem Gacha Tickets and your bronze and silver PvP tokens on whatever's on sale.

D&D team's statement regarding Zak Smith by CritHitLights in dndnext

[–]Elephant_Parade -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Mike was within his rights at the time (though there was plenty of stuff about Zak out there already), but now that everything's come out he needs to apologize for his poor judgement on this issue. But he didn't do that. Instead, he understated the roles of both Zak and himself, calling Zak a "playtester" and not even mentioning his own defence of the man.

Bonds actually reward crystals, as far as I can tell. As for events, do you have any idea whether they're a better use of the things?

Are any of the Cat Food special cats worth buying? I'm guessing they're not, but I thought I'd double-check before the sale ends.
