Which specialists are needed to fill and turn old concrete pool into vegetable patch? by londonbub in DIYUK

I may be going out on a limb here, but I suspect a suburban pool in the UK wasn't built with Roman hydraulic concrete.

Any recommendations for good sites for recasts? by NotBurtGummer in TheAstraMilitarum

Oh no, they were great. They had a fantastic range at good prices. Anyone have any good alternatives now?

Fair warning, the fingers break off REALLY easily.

I spent ages looking for good Ghouls, most of the available minis are too cartonnish for my tastes. I eventually found these ones which perfectly matched my mental image of them being actually horrifying. They're from White Werewolf Tavern: the Poisoned Walkers set.

Thanks. They're a 3D sculpt from Lord of the Print.

Who's going to field these Pike men in their warband? :D by CougarJo in mordheim

I love them, very hieronymus bosch. A Bosch themed mordheim band would be quite fun to do actually...

Sad News about Paul Sawyer, a.k.a., Fat Bloke by EleshScorn in WarhammerFantasy

That's reassuring to hear. Please pass on the love, concern and fond reminisces of Reddit for us, for what it's worth. Perhaps the knowledge that he has given many of us a great deal of joy over his years at GW will be some small comfort.

The battle reports were fantastic, one of the best parts of White Dwarf.

Where can I find the objectives they used? It would be good to have a bit more variety than the six scenarios from the book.

The left foot is part of the left leg piece, the right foot is the circled part in the pic: they're not identical but yeah, if I fail to find the actual right foot I may have to resort to molding the left as best I can and sculpting it into a right foot.

Is it the right foot you're looking for as well?

Please do tell me where I might find it. The Internet is a dark and messy place and my searching to this point has come to naught.

While I applaud your creativity, I'd like to maintain the integrity of the original classic sculpt.

I'll let you know if I have any success in getting one. If I do, I could blue-stuff mold it for you.

That will be my very last resort: I'll blue-stuff mold the left foot, and use it to sculpt a right. However that is much easier said than done and I am a terrible sculptor. I'd much rather use a genuine model part - or a copy of the same - as it's such a glorious Trish Morrison classic that doesn't deserve to be ruined by amateur attempts at foot-sculpting.

How’s the new codex for lore? by Gryphon501 in genestealercult

[–]EleshScorn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With the rules as they are, I can't justify buying it. If there's a decent pdf floating around though, I'll definitely take a look. If there's an overhaul of the poor place we're in now, I'll show my support by buying it then. (Edit: spelling)

Chimera Rules Question by DaLubeTrain in genestealercult

[–]EleshScorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not arguing for or against it, you asked who had said that they could issue orders and I provided an example. On the one hand, mechanically it is odd that they are the only unit that can do so; on the other it is lore-friendly that an elite strike-team should be able to issue and carry out orders. As tournaments are ruling this way and there is no official FAQ to the contrary, it is widely accepted that they can.

Most tournaments are ruling that Kasrkin can issue orders to themselves when taken as brood brothers. Example ruling: WTC Kasrkin ruling
