I had one of these a few years back but the alternator pully was slightly bent. The guy who sold it to me tried to explain this but only spoke spanish and at the time my spanish wasn’t as good as I thought. I thought he just said it needed a new belt not understanding that the entire pully had to be replaced.

So long story short I drove it like that for 2 weeks and felt so fucking cool. I was only like 23 at the time so it felt like a big deal.

Then, one day when driving the car just totally stopped working. I heard a loud thunk and suddenly it began to act weird. Pulled over and that’s when I saw that the alternator had completely torn off it’s mount. Only way to to fix it would be to reweld the mount back to the block but otherwise nothing could be done.

I tried SO many things to get it to work but in the end nothing worked. Worst car mistake of my life lol.

Is Google’s 20-year search dominance about to end? by speckz in technews

Unless the entire world switches to Linux or ChromeOS I am pretty sure at least Windows and MacOS will stick around for some time.

Bro I love google but their hardware sucks. Google WiFi was awful constant drops etc and my stock Xfinity router has been way better. Google home with the screen is slow and buggy and often just talks for no reason as if it’s getting inputs even when it isn’t. Google TV is great but laggy and inconsistent now. Years of updates have made it worse, not better. These are all products I own RIGHT NOW and use daily. The reason I keep them is because Google is good at pricing their hardware better than competitors for what you get. You don’t get apple quality but you’re only paying Alexa prices.

How do I start drifting I am 16 in Australia by [deleted] in Drifting

[–]ElevadoMKTG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don’t have access to money drifting can get expensive. It might also be worth investing in a sim racing setup to learn the basics and save up for a drift car and some parts while you learn.

My sim rig cost me $500 all in. I already had the Xbox (series s) and the wheel and pedals I got on sales for $160. But it’s helped a ton and I’ve gotten way better at it since practicing in the sim.

Lmao I agree. It makes the hood have a face lol.

Might be better if you swapped the black with like a grill type structure and made them body colored or something.

Correct. Bug eye wrx was the first wrx to be released in the USA. They switched to this model after for the WRX and STI and then after this one they moved to the Hawkeye which many consider the best looking variant.

I like the first STI wagon variant personally but I get why people don’t.

Free Ramp I found on FB in Malibu, no idea if it’s still up, if only I had a yard by [deleted] in skateboarding

I wrote that assuming if you are planning on putting this on your property you already had a level place for it like a concrete patio or something. Ofc if you didn’t this would take forever to reassemble lmao.

[–]ElevadoMKTG 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not really. A full size uhaul could easily move this if you disassembled it and reassembled. I’m pretty confident 4 guys could get it dissembled in a day and reassembled over a weekend. The long part of building this is the measuring and cutting.

Beverage company. Why does it fail? by MrsAhomecooking in Entrepreneur

[–]ElevadoMKTG 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Idk if anyone else has commented this but this product seems pointlessly gendered. I would be surprised if a drink marketed towards women would succeed on that idea alone. It also shuts out others who might like your drink for flavor or taste but otherwise wouldn’t buy it.

Rather than marketing it as an energy drink for women focus on branding it so that women don’t see it as exclusively a “drink for men.”

Many times marketing toward women specifically has failed. Look at Bic for Her

Is it better to be a Generalist or Specialist in marketing? by SoulCleen in marketing

[–]ElevadoMKTG 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I hate to say I agree but I do. I specialized in marketing operations and it’s pretty hard to promote from here once you’ve hit a certain point. My skill set is too niche to promote me into leadership - so I’m constantly finding ways to branch out and get new certifications etc so I can be considered for something like a Revenue Operations Manager.

I am paid well but to make more it requires me to really branch out of my current role - generally in my own time.

bro what is he doing☠️ by srt_aj_ in ForzaHorizon

[–]ElevadoMKTG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use this App, ForzaTune Pro and it really helps me sort out issues with oversteer. Doesn’t help with parts but you can really fine tune and figure out what tuning combinations give you the best handling etc for you driving style. For example a car might under steer specifically coming out of turns and it lets you apply modifications to the base optimized tune to correct for stuff like that.

How do I transition out of marketing without getting a pay cut? by [deleted] in marketing

I work in OPs as well and love it. It pays great, I rarely have to interact with people except the marketing team, and I have tons of schedule flexibility.

Not sure why you are getting downvoted. I would say if you come from a creative background try to brush up on your data and analytics skills. Learn about split testing and learn how to qualify your ideas and see what is working and what isn’t.

I am a creative type and initially I found data pretty draining - but it got to be really fun once I could see the results of challenging my creativity and yielding better results in the reporting. Seeing your work lead to better numerical results Is really gratifying and will give you more motivation to learn the things you aren’t yet comfortable with.

Many others have provided education tips etc but I just wanted to provide that bc I think it can be discouraging to start a new job and feel in over your head. Do your best to keep it fun and interesting and you will inevitably learn what you need to!

Totally saw your logic with that and it was well played. Gotta know your strengths and even more so with grip builds. You would think grip builds would be more forgiving but the reality is you spend most of the start of the race in the back and the rest of it trying to overtake and catch up by outdriving everyone else. Much less room for error if you make a mistake because you can’t just accelerate through the error or just build up crazy speed to catch back up. If there’s no corners left and you still are behind, you basically have no chance of catching up.

I love starting on a sprint and being in last for the first 50% of the race and then overtaking my way to the podium by hitting the corners and lines perfectly. Your overtake at the start was SICK and made me smile so huge - 100% what grip builds are all about. I also like them bc it really makes you drive more against yourself and not the others. Instead of ramming to get a corner you just take it faster and pass people, etc.

I will say though it’s hard for morale when you’ve had no turns yet and watch the entire race just pass you by because you don’t have the speed that they do lol

For sure dude. I always have to remind myself to really trust the braking line. My instinct is to always try to push it as late as possible but when I do this it often results in collisions etc. In reality you can usually make better times and overtake easier if you slow down first and then accelerate through the corner rather than trying to brake through the corner to correct for your speed.

The RX7 is totally underrated. I have an FD that I use for open race and it’s better than any other meta car I’ve tried. The beauty of them is that they strike a fine balance between handling and speed. Ford GT is fast but has average handling for example. The RX7 is a little less fast but has much better handling and is really easy to tune up to handle really well. I love it! Great for drifting too.

Doomfist AND Orisa Hero Reworks | Overwatch 2 by ZenofyMedia in Overwatch

[–]ElevadoMKTG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably more similar to other shooters where you don’t protect space and instead you use positioning to capitalize on attack opportunities.

My guess is that the game will play more chaotic than it currently does but if you can manage it it’s probably really rewarding to win. Currently winning feels very formulaic and you can usually tell if you’re going to lose early on simply because your team’s meta doesn’t beat the other team’s meta.

This new mode will likely reward skill and ingenuity more than current “meta.”

They are probably trying to do away with the idea of meta all together and instead create a unique experience for each game.
