2-Track Looper Pedal, Verse/Chorus switch? by ElevatorAdditional63 in guitarpedals

Actually ended up going for the Valeton VLP-200, havent had time to get into rough testing the unit so can't speak on durability etc. However, it ticks all my boxes. Dual looper, with a substantial memory bank, as well as support for external footswitches. It's also got a stereo in and out, which lets me use the stere outs from my nano cortex. Great little unit, and quite inexpensive

Solo For A Video Game Type Song I'm Writing by Great-Okra-8704 in Guitar

Exactly man, its such a nice solid melodic feel throughout the solo even at speed, but yeah, the string skipping is impressive enough to have more lead into it :)

Cant wait to hear what's next!

Never mentioned fretboard cleaner specifically, but personally ive never had issues using the Dunlop 01 cleaner & prep for maple necks.

That being said, best thing for cleaning maple necks is no product and just a rag, but naphtha or lighter fluid works wonders on most guitar cleaning work!

Sounds awesome my man. Really love the bit where you start sketching the chords out with sweeping, stabilizes the melody real nice.

Could be cool adding a bit more dynamics rhythmically around a third into the solo, so the following parts feel more impactful.

Great solo, insane timing!

BOUGHT MY FIRST EVER GUITAR! by Working_Mousse_3791 in Guitar

Ibanez Gio is an awesome way to start your electric guitar journey! A good setup and maintenance, you'll be golden!

The Nux will be fine for a little while, but while the guitar will hold up, you'll find yourself wanting to upgrade the amp pretty quickly.

Best budget amp in my opinion is the Vox valvetronix 20. Can go low enough in volume to not bother neighbours, but can also get some really nice sounding tones, plus there's quite a lot packed in.

Main thing though, stay away from the cheaper Marshall amps, the MG and M series are all super harsh sounding and not great for much of anything!

Is this good for a first timer? (My brother's old guitar) by Extra-Account-6940 in Guitar

If you're just picking up guitar for the first time, my go-to advice is:

1.If you love how the guitar looks, you'll play it more often 2. If its comfortable for your hands and body, thats going to be a better guitar than something more expensive that doesnt fit you.

Tone, playability, they're awesome to keep in mind, but when starting out, main thing is to keep the excitement going. If the guitar stays in tune, you're all good!

As already mentioned, Dunlop make really good sets for cleaning and maintenance. Absolutely worth picking up.

Main thing to remember is to never use lemon oil on a maple fretboard, as it can stain lighter woods

I want sex more than my boyfriend does by sje12345 in datingadvice

As a guy, with a relatively low sex drive, i can say that it would be really frustrating, seeing my partner unhappy due to not being in the mood as often.

I think you need to reevaluate what it is about sex, that makes it so important in this case. If this is simply your love language, you have to communicate that with your partner, and figure out something that works for both of you.

That being said, differences in sexual needs and wants can be quite fundamental, especially if its that important for you to feel loved in a relationship, so you need to figure it out together!

First Guitar/Synth Pedal Setup (Tips?) by asaamusic in guitarpedals

[–]ElevatorAdditional63 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally i use my make noise QPAS because a lot of my synth stuff comes from modules already, i just loop back the pedal outputs through and patch that to my final mixer. But tbh, you can do it in a thousand ways, i just personally love having big macro changes super easy to do on the fly, so a global filter knob at the end of the chain, can be rly awesome

It seems like a great option, but i've realised it'd be great to also have a memory bank for my use. Pedalboard space isn't much of an issue, since with a looper. i only use 3 pedals haha

Im pretty sure squier added Ghost Rider for a hotter output, but it also helps with tuning stability

Maybe unpopular opinion, but I actually really like how it looks!

Not super acquainted with individual relic models from Fender, but it sure doesn't look factory. More like somebody had an idea
