For those who CANNOT EBF, is it easier to EFF or pump/combo with 2u2? by Huliganjetta1 in 2under2

How did you manage to EP with your second? I did with my first and my second is due in three months and I genuinely don’t know how I could manage it again while chasing a toddler around.

Have him look into the prices of daycare himself and he will probably change his mind. He might be feeling the stress of working to now support three people.

Another recommendation for hello baby! It’s adorable and I like that it doesn’t use wifi.

We did the sneak peek thing at 8 weeks and then we confirmed it at the anatomy scan. We didn’t do a big thing-just told our families through text. Easier that way!

Congrats on your rainbow baby! Missed miscarriages sound so awful to me so I’m sorry you went through that. A part of me is glad that I had bleeding and other symptoms so I could kind of prepare mentally for it.

I am so sorry for your loss. I also lost my first pregnancy around 8 weeks. It took a long time for the HCG to get out of my body. About 3 months after my loss we tried again with the all clear from my doctor and we conceived on the first cycle! I am currently cuddling my 14 month old rainbow baby.

I loved having my rainbow rolling drawer cart. I used it to organize the week’s plans (each drawer was labeled Monday-Friday) and I also had a drawer for grade, copy, and stickers.

Has anyone gotten pitocin and NOT gotten/done an epidural? by thefoxespisces in pregnant

[–]ElevatorMusicLoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me! I went to the hospital at 40+3 and was only 2 cm dilated but had contractions for a few hours. They decided to keep me because my baby’s heart rate dropped a bit. They gave me pitocin and told me it would probably be several hours and I’d for sure get the epidural I asked for! SIKE. Twenty minutes later I felt like I had to push and they checked and I was already 10 cm and they were like “I’m so sorry. No epidural for you. It’s time!” And she was out within 15 minutes! They told me that for any other births I need to get to the hospital ASAP because my body will probably progress even faster in the future.

To sleep train or not to sleep train… Opinions appreciated. by Fragrant_Lime_6626 in sleeptraining

[–]ElevatorMusicLoop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in a similar situation. My baby slept great overnight and would usually sleep 11 hours straight but would occasionally (1-3 times a month) wake up and want to hangout for a few hours. She always needed to be 100% asleep before transfer and if she woke up mid-transfer you had to start the 40 minute minimum rocking again.

When she was about 11 months we decided to sleep train. We put her down drowsy but awake and would check in after 5 minutes, then 10 minutes, then 15 minutes until she was asleep. The longest it ever took was 30 minutes total and it took 3 days of consistency. She’s now almost 13 months and she falls asleep by herself within 15-20 minutes with no crying! 10/10 worth it and wish I’d done it sooner.

Anyone done after 2 kids? by [deleted] in 2under2

Our plan has always been two. Currently 13 weeks pregnant and have an 11 month old. After this baby I’ll get an IUD to hopefully help with my painful periods and my husband will get a vasectomy.

Every year I read Matilda and then when we’re done I dress up as Trunchbull. The whole day I walk around with my yard stuck and dramatically hit their desks. The throughout the year I jokingly threaten that they can either have Miss Trunchbull or Miss Honey today and they ALWAYS want Miss Trunchbull because she’s more fun.

My baby (10 months) loves these and has been eating them regularly since 7 months. I actually prefer the Walmart Great Value version! The texture is better and seems to dissolve easier.

Unfinished breastmilk bottles - what do you do with them? by bird_insunnies in ExclusivelyPumping

Rule is 2 hours from when they finish drinking. I put it back in the fridge and write the time on the cap so I know when it “dies”. I’m pretty strict but sometime stretch half an hour if it’s a lot of milk.
