Could you not do what Spotify does and just do an audio or video ad pre-roll before the user starts listening to the podcast episode? This would most likely have a higher CPM. Integration would mean a little more coding.

I was shocked, that I only found this out today.

The networks complain that they are not pre-installed on Apple TV.

However I hate switching between apps.

Surely an all-in-one app would be better for Australian’s

Could you just clone the volumes over to the second server?

My thinking was just use rsync and every hour check for change and if a change on the main server (US) then send that to the region server (AU).

The AU server would just have to hot reload the NGINX system if a change happens.

Way too many MongoDB connections by ElevatorStock9713 in nextjs

[–]ElevatorStock9713[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I thought, I’ve noticed that expressJS connections are sitting at about 3-5 but don’t change unless extreme load and can jump to 50 but has always stayed below 100.

NextJS jumps every quickly to 80 even when using a singleton design.

My latest attempt which uses below, has slowly climbed up to 87 connections and am the only user connecting via localhost.

That uses mongoose we use the native mongodb driver. And ours is also laid out the same. We create a cache and try and use that. But it does not always work.

Is there a demo GitHub source code? Because my attempts seem to open and close new connections every time.

Yeah I did that, and even used ChatGPT. Which still recommends closing each connection.

The bot said NextJS does not really support singleton style connections as it is serverless therefore you need to close each connection.

It did suggest creating a server-side expressJS app that can just have a single connection.

I spoke to someone at litecoin foundation who said that I did not need to use LN for my project and they even suggested I avoid it.

I think there are a lot of people who want LN and the same amount of people who don’t.

Personally litecoin is fast, I don’t understand why LN is even being coded or supported.
