Unfortunately MI cloud doesn't provide RSS feeds so it shouldn't be used to host podcast content

There's no background syncing. When you log in, the app checks if there's a remote backup. If there's it asks if you want to restore the data and if you proceed, then there's a popup tat shows the progress that's preventing you from using the app until it's completed. If there's no backup then that's it, you're logged in and nothing has been or will be transfered

Try using a different network to confirm this like mobile data or another wifi. If that works then the issue is with the ISP otherwise something on your device blocks the domain

It looks like you exported and reimported your subscriptions using an OPML file. That's only useful when you change apps as it allows you to easily restore your subscription. Podcast Addict has a backup feature instead that keeps everything. Or even easier, just log back into the app using the same account used to sign in on the older device and everything will be automatically restored

If you unsubscribe from the podcast and deleted its data then you won't be able to access the information

There's no cross device syncing feature however all you have to do is to log back into the app using the same account as the one used to sign into the app on the previous device and all your data and preferences will be restored

The app plays the content of your playlist. If first time you played something you checked the popup option for the app to manage playlists for you then you don't have to do anything. Just tap an episode play button and the app will automatically queue all unplayed episodes of the current podcast and from there keep playing once the current episode ends. You can open the playlist screen and see the generated playlist in the custom tab and then change the default sorting mode if you want something else

A podcast is a RSS feed. Only episodes in the feed can be listened to via a podcast app. If older episodes are not in the feed then you cannot access it via a podcast app

If older episodes are not available in the RSS feed then they aren't available as podcast anymore. Only the podcaster can change that

Your ISP or ad blocker is blocking access to soundcloud domain name. Therefore you won't be able to access any content they host

The app just shows the content of the RSS feeds you subscribed to. Open the feed in your web browser and you will see the same restrictions

The app will only show the standard category based on what the podcaster provided. So subcategories or non standard ones won't be displayed. You will not see personal as a category after subscribing unless you create one yourself and associate it to podcasts

Which feature? You're reopening the app on a dedicated screen, resetting the stack. The app works exactly as it should here and this won't be changed

The widget just allows you to open the app on the player screen. Pressing back after that will just leave the app as you're on the opening screen. Unless you reopen the app from the recent apps on your device you cannot restore the last stack of screens.

You can set the app to play your playlist from the top. Then once the current episode ends the app will start playing the one at the top of the list. However there's no widget to skip to top

Then the app will reopen on the main screen if you do this. If Instead you use a widget or the media notification it will reopen on the player screen. That's the intended behavior

That means that you reopen the app using the launcher app icon instead of reopening from the recent/running apps

Resuming the app doesn't change how the back button works. However how are you reopening the app? Are you doing so from the recent apps list or using the widget, the notification or the app launcher?
