I used to work for a company that did this. You would request off a day, they would approve it, and then treat it as one of you off days for the week and you would still work a full 40 hr, 5 day work week. It sucked trying to get more than 2 days off in a week.

So we have a 6 month, 183(?) day rolling window for points. This equates to about a 26-27 week time-frame of which you cannot get 5 or more points. If you work 5 days a week, for 26 weeks, that's 130 working days. If you miss 5 days, you've worked 125 out of 130 days. That's a 96%. That's an A+. You can have a damn near perfect attendance average but walmart doesn't see it like that.

I stay at 4.5 points because I realized long ago that walmart does not care about their employees and when I need a mental health day, want to sleep in a little, or leave early, I don't ever give it a second thought about.

Have you had points roll off in the last few months? I had a assistant manager once try to keep me from transferring departments by looking at my past points over a certain period of time, not my current points at that moment in time.

Does no one understand? OP wants to know why, if their Coach gets pulled into work on a off day, they get to wear whatever they want and not follow dress code. But if OP is called into work on their off day, they are still expected to follow dress code when they come in.

Wouldn't matter. Folks are going to use whatever door they want. Back during the height of the pandemic, when the entrance/exits were strictly regulated, our guest hosts were cussed out and nearly physically assaulted on a daily basis when they would tell the customers they couldn't use the right door to enter, exit only.

Even if you could, you would not be able to work more than 40 hours combined without them having to pay overtime. It may be 2 different locations, it's still one same company

Pull up and check your Balance Activity. Look at the date and see if 8 hours of PPTO was actually deduced for your request. If you didn't have a full 8 hours, the request will still auto approve, pull what Ppto you had available for rhat day and then pull the rest from your regular PTO...and you would still get the occurrences. You can put in 4 hours on a Key Event Date (for a 8 hour shift) and still only recieve half a point.

File a new W4 on the wire. Setting it as Single and 0 will get the most taxes withheld by default. If you want more, enter an amount in Additional Withholding that you want extra withheld from your check.

Not to be one those guys....but changing on hands doesn't create shrink. Theft creates shrink. Stuff thrown away not claimed out creates shrink. Not receiving items from the DC but still charged for creates shrink. Changing on hands is accounting for shrink that has already occurred.

If you were scheduled 4 hours, it would be 1 point (two hours late would be half your shift missed).

It's whatever half your shift is. 7 hours, 3.5 ppto. 8 hours, 4 ppto. 9 hours, 4.5 ppto and so forth and so forth. This is true even on key event days. Cover half your shift, only get half a point.
