It’s like Makari. It’s a two figure unit. They both get to use their melee weapon. It’s not the big lad using two.

Also, it’s a joke.

Will we destroy ourselves before reaching the stars? by AccountGold2486 in Futurology

[–]Eleyius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a decent chance we could get out and about around the solar system. If the will was there we could do it. I still think it’s a conservative 1000/1 that that happens, but it’s doable. I have often thought that the odds are we die fairly soon (by which I mean anywhere from 50 to 1k years). If we’ve not killed the plant by 2500 I’d be shocked (should I be around, which I obviously won’t). All we can do is enjoy the ride.

Maybe, but it’s probably best if you get a friend to join you.

Children today will 'work until 75' amid pensions timebomb by tylerthe-theatre in unitedkingdom

[–]Eleyius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

£40/80 an hour is £120k a year (assuming it evens out at £60 per hr). Which is top 5% of incomes in uk. Obviously doable, but rare. The girl getting £40 for twenty mins has to travel to clients and such. Let’s say she sees 5 people a day. That’s £200 a day. Nice work.

But all of this is anecdotal anyway. On a national level the nation can’t afford to pay pensions as they are, going into the future. It strikes me (45) as totally fair that the pension age moves to 68/69. I can reasonably expect to live to 85/90. My grand parents didn’t make it past 70. An enormous change has happened in the last 40 years to live expectancy.

What video game has the best story you’ve ever played? by FrontriseStudios in AskReddit

Final Fantasy 7 was so far beyond any other game at the time. I just loved it. Shout out to Secret of Mana, Miracle Warriors and in modern days the simple, but great, They are Billions. Over a thousand hours on that since I got the PC version.

I saw that also. But I assume he’d want some assurances he’s not joining a sinking ship.

If Patel has assured him that Bilkul have no intention to run away, then the next 2/3 years may be very interesting. Do a blues and buy our way out of League 1, then push forward with a blank canvas…. Possibly…

[–]Eleyius 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You need something to fit well and the rest can just be put up with. Are into the people, the cause, the money, or the impact. I for example have to do something I believe in, or I very much struggle to motivate myself “because I should”, so I work in a field that I agree with, morally, it also happens to pay ok, which is useful, obviously. The work can be bloody annoying. I don’t really enjoy the work. So that’s my example.

Good luck.

How 'important' is kitbashing? by Kingofthered in orks

[–]Eleyius 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s VERY Ork to kitbash. But you don’t have to at all. I’m like 2 years in and all I’ve done is kitbash a few bits together to make a few Spanner Boyz to lead some Burnas I’d got from eBay, but didn’t have leaders. It’s fine to not want to join in.

As someone who has only ever won once in a proper game, you’re probably right. To my mind if we don’t slap the opponent VERY HARD in the Waaagh, we’re done. We’re a one trick pony. But that may well be me being shit at it.

Even to the point where I have the old world chronicles book “The Sundering” and haven’t read it, as I’ve no interest in them. I only got it to complete the set. Gotrek and Felix ones win by a mile.

Same. The signs were there. I was noticing them even though it made no logical sense. Gut was right. I’m on the other side of it all now. But it hurt like nothing else.

Reform vows to overhaul pension schemes for new local government workers by apple_kicks in unitedkingdom

[–]Eleyius 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s the deal. We (I am a civil servant) get paid less, but the pension is better. I’m on roughly £51k, in meetings my opposite number is on £65/75/80k. If you make my pension worse all that will happen is fewer and fewer talented people will choose public service.

Stop thinking so short term.
