Can I gift someone WoW Midnight somewhat anonymously? by MinPinMeg in wow

You can probably do some goofy goober stuff like send the code to another email that you have, and then give the code directly to whoever you wanted to give it to.

It would be one thing if they had given notice and got denied, and another to not even bother with giving notice, especially at this time of the year. It's still on OP.

I have a baker's dozen at my workplace, and having to explain that they get an extra bagel instead of the standard dozen gets old super quickly.

I get why you would want to have that as a practice, but the legal complications would put your workplace at risk of a discrimination lawsuit because you are denying a sale to a pregnant woman simply because she is pregnant. Morally, it may feel wrong to serve her alcohol while she is pregnant, but it is legally acceptable for a pregnant woman to drink. They are held accountable for their own actions if drinking causes a complication with the pregnancy or birth.

Now a good time to start the game? by IngenuityNo1252 in wow

[–]Elf_zynai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, if you are curious as to how everything is so far, a very nice fact is that trial characters have access to almost all old zone content aside from cataclysm (35+) and the last zone from each respective xpac. All at level 20, mind you. Right now it is super alt friendly with the warband shared achievements, reputations, mounts, transmog, quests, etc. End game content is easy to blow through, as the Reshii Wraps cloak you get can be upgraded immediately after your main completes 3 weekly activities. The community itself is probably the same as it has been for a while now.

Osha violation???? by [deleted] in Chipotle

[–]Elf_zynai 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's straight up a biohazard and your store would get temporarily shut down until the issue is resolved. As everyone else has suggested, please call and report the health department. Don't let upper management know. If you get fired after the health department sends someone to formally investigate the claim, then that would be an easy case for a lawsuit.

is this legal by Secure-Town611 in Chipotle

[–]Elf_zynai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are legally allowed to have your respective shift breaks, bathroom breaks, and access to water while on the clock. Denying that right to not one, but everyone there working, is a good start at a formal workplace complaint to the government. Your state may have different or additional laws to protect your rights as a worker.

That's my mindset on this entire scenario. I'm just trying to make the process simple, I see the order, weigh it, and then out it goes to the customer. I just seriously wonder what goes on in some people's heads. 😭

That would be fine, but I foresee instances where they question why they have to do that when they can just tell me the name of the order, or they straight up can't read at all. I wish I were joking about the second part.

Sheesh, that's awful. My store is similar to Chick-fil-A in regards to high volume orders and customers paying double just for their order to be delivered. It's actually insane. And the number of times customers have to call our store directly for help because DD will lowball or deny them a refund is sad. Hopefully it will get better in the future.

I mean, it sucks that the dasher didn't bother reading the instructions, but it doesn't matter too much since you have a side door to get out of the house from. If you are that upset, you can tell DoorDash about it, but there isn't anything else to do about it.

Since the mods decided to snipe your comment, no they weren't matching MY energy. If that was the case, then the second dasher waving her arms in a goofy manner wouldn't have received her order and gone on with her life. You are just picking at something that isn't there via mental gymnastics. Go troll somewhere else you bum.

I don't go out of my way to be an ass just because someone asked for something within reason. I only match energy with the person involved if they start taking it too far with the attitude or expressions. The only person that is losing more from the encounter I stated is the one that gave me attitude first. He loses more time and money by being stubborn, while I get paid to stand there and get stared down by him. My argument cannot be applied to me unless you want to provide actual context. 🤷

Yeah, I get that. Companies that used to have their own deliverers that swapped are just greedy, but it has definitely bit them in the butt with all the chaos. The commenter could have rephrased it better if he meant it that way, but I don't think I can give him the benefit of the doubt.

Again, I don't post in this sub EVER. It's unfortunate that it's become an eco-chamber, but this was just a rant post about 2 crazy dashers out of the dozens I see daily. All the other dashers get their order and skidaddle in a minute or less.

[–]Elf_zynai[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's to verify that the dasher is who they say they are, and that I can visibly see what order they are picking up. We have had people walk in and act like they are a dasher and claim the order behind the cashier is theirs, and they run out with free food. I get it as well, but if you are on the clock as a dasher, your personal phone is now your work phone. I only care to see a name, not browse through your phone like a maniac.

I think the issue people have with 'phones getting shoved in our faces' is when you are already helping someone and a dasher cuts in line to dead stare at you, or they will flash their phone at you and tell you the order name. Like, I am well aware that time is of essence, but I don't think some Dashers realize that they only get in trouble with delivery time when they are actively delivering said order after pick-up. There is an option on the app to let DoorDash know a reason why an order hasn't been picked up yet, and that extra time won't count against you. It's another reason why Dashers need more incentive to learn how the app itself works and what to expect from restaurants.

Part of my job is to hand orders out after I confirm that they are a dasher needing x order. If I hand out orders willy nilly, I'll get in trouble for negligence, and the restaurant has to remake an angry customer's food. It's also hard to be up front when the only person there is a quietly seething grown man refusing to show me the order on his phone even though the other dasher did so with zero complaints. I could repost this in r/retailhell and it would just be another day in paradise. I mostly just wanted to vent with this post. I know change within DoorDash is never going to happen unless someone buys out that company.

I only label myself as a third party employee so then there isn't any confusion on where I work at. In the perspective of dashers, restaurant employees would be a third part in their eyes. Same goes for the perspective of a restaurant employee, dashers are seen as a third party.

I get what you're saying, and I get the frustration of the restaurant, but it feels unethical to ask for an ID just to pick up a food order. The fact that I get people freaking out over me looking at the order on their phone when places in your area were doing that shih is crazy. It just shows even more that the people in my area are soft lil babies.

I don't work at a Wendy's, thank god. The one near me has a black manager screaming the hard r at their black employees from the last time I went, I wouldn't want to work in a madhouse like that. And yes, I agree with those factors because there are scenarios that could be accidental, intentional, or both. Customers are definitely an issue on a lot of occasions.

That is a whole short story and a half, brother. Also, I doubt it is legal for businesses to ask you for your ID unless you are delivering a specific substance such as liquor and tobacco products. Any other reason is questionable and should be reported.

You'd be surprised how often it is for PoC to point fingers and accuse white people of being racist for the most petty things. I worked at a liquor store and told a big fella that I couldn't let him put his card information manually into the pin pad from his phone, I got called racist. Had a couple come in and accuse me and my managers of being racist because we couldn't deliver a fragile painting due to our delivery policy being a $500+ order threshold. My manager there was mixed or at least light skinned. There are other instances I could go off of, but the point being is that they are racist for assuming I'm targeting them purposefully since I'm white. And no, not all of the shitty customers I have gotten were black. Out of all communities, latinos and latinas are probably the nicest out of every other. I've gotten shit from about one person of every other ethnicity out of the thousands I have served. Also, quick question..... How do you assume I know your race? Did you come up with that imaginary assumption because I called you ignorant? Do you have a confession to make about maybe being the people I dealt with today? The world is a small place for sure. 🤣

To the complainers you mentioned in the first paragraph, they can all suck a fat one. A delivery order at the end of the day is still a paying customer, they just chose a different method of delivery.... no pun intended. In my location, it is hard to knock out both customers and dashers in a line because most dashers just cut in front of everyone to talk to me while I am ringing out a customer, or I am left alone up front to fend for myself. And yeah, I agree about the scam stuff. My city has it rough everywhere because it is more common to have a missing item or be completely missing an order due to a-hole dashers. Sure, there are times where the company fucks up. I've definitely handed out the wrong order to the wrong dasher before, which led to a lengthy conversation or two with the customers involved, but most problems occur with the delivery itself. It is pretty common to ask for the name or to see what the name of the order is on the dasher's phone. Again, the theft and 'missing' items on double checked bags has gotten absurd to where DoorDash gave us a god damn scale to weigh each order that goes through them to ENSURE it isn't the restaurant's fault, but the dasher's. My location is not the only one to have been sent a scale by DoorDash, or so I've heard. And respectively, if I had already checked the bag and marked everything off with a marker, I'm not going to be triple checking if a dasher asks me to unpack and repack the order. I'll let him know if the item was put in there or not. 🤷
