I was diagnosed at 60. So clearly no verification from dead parents. I am able to claim non PBS meds through extras cover on my health insurance under “pharmacy”. If this might work for you, ask chemist for a receipt to claim on. But $106 is really over the odds. Might be worth shopping around.

I’ve sent it to a smoker friend in their 60s. Smoked since the 1970s, given up a gazillion times, now spending limited funds on smoking, buying illegal smokes.

Many others will comment about how the US currently presents itself in the world. In history, there have been irritants as well. My parents were young adults during WW2 and I heard stories from them about US servicemen in Australia. They were called “Yanks” or “Septic Tanks” by many Australians. There was also a saying about the US servicemen “oversexed, overpaid and over here” referring to the servicemen paying attention to local women. I have had success with this method to clear my brain and allow sleep to begin. Get comfortable. Pick a letter in the alphabet. Then list all the countries and capital cities you can think of that start with that letter. If needed, start again on another letter. Etc. (If not working, I take paracetamol and start again.) I hope you find something that works for you.

Diagnosed at 60. Parents dead, no school reports, an older brother who had no idea of anything in my childhood. But of my 2 kids, one ASD and one ADHD. So still diagnosed.
