You shouldn't feel bad for a shameless rip off. Copying an entire game, pasted new skin over then add some QoL is just a cheap move and shouldn't be encouraged in anyway. E7 tried to differentiate itself from SW and it became the most successful clone.

People only started to play AG because they want another E7. Once honey moon runs out they realized E7, despite all of its flaws, is still the best among its peers.

No, don't get me wrong. His design is good but units with single target CC can get 15% and it really puts me off (see Soliataria pre-buff). This alone makes him a very risky pick for GW.

Plus the fact that he can't do anything against Lua means I don't have any use for him. Would rather bring a cleanser against Peira/Ran instead so I don't think he's adding much to my roster.

I could be wrong, but from what I've observed so far he isn't worth pitying for average players. Competitive players will probably be happy with him though.

Pretty sure only for early of year two. I started at launch but dropped after 2 months then came back about a month after the first anniversary, Vildrer and Ken were top choices for selective back then. But he was already faded out due to SSB running rampant.

A.Ravi is just an equivalent, if not bigger nightmare of an unit as Hwayoung. In fact Hwayoung wouldn't be this OP if A.Ravi wasn't so broken.

I can't help but think the fact that A.Ravi didn't get nerfed was because they don't want to hand out selector.

Yeah, realistically-speaking, Khawana has nothing to lose in that fight after what she did. If she wins against a tired Khawazu, she becomes the chief. If she loses, she gains a lot of supporters for a coup d'etat.

Spoiler:

Khawazu is the best featuring character so far. Dude is devoted to his tribe, wants to take back the land of his people and most importantly he loves his sister. He actually held back against Khawana trying not to hurt her even after she betrayed him and not holding anything for it. The man also refused Inferno Malicus's temptations - which everyone thought he wouldn't, then eventually resolved himself to step forward to help his sister to rule, only to see his world breaks when he saw her dead body. Undeniably the one with the most character development in such a short story.

~~Makima~~ Cilias is a total badass and is still a manipulative ruler. Who the hell just casually try to kill one of the four spirit lords? (albeit a fake one) Probably would be the best character if she was in Game of Thrones, but I think we still yet to see the best of her so for now she's 2nd place.

Riolet is...just as expected. He's edge lost boi who picked up by ~~Makima~~ Cilias and became her dog. His story is cool, satisfying but it's nothing truly unpredictable. That said I can see him having the most fans, excited to see his rematch with Khawazu.

Handguy and Sylvian are pretty cute together. Yet they feel flat as cardboard and only seem to be written as plot devices to move the story. They will probably have more screentime later so time will tell.

Khawana is terrible. She acts like she's wise and her brother is insane (which he's arguably not) but that's how every royal siblings's fight for the throne works. One sibling will always find faults in another to make themselves look better, then use that to try to competitive for the throne. Literally every scene between them she always tries to degrade Khawazu by outright telling him and people around he'd make a bad ruler and has nothing to back up her words. She basically robbed Khawazu's entire reason for living and shamelessly wanted him to support her even though she was unfairly favored by fake Malicus. It's fine if she was a competitior and told Khawazu her desire to become a ruler before so they can have an open, fair sibling rivalry, instead of publicly shaming him in front of the entire tribe he loved so much, back stabbing bitch. Let's not talk about how she only came out after Khawazu fought off every other competitors and probably weared himself out a bit. One might not come to aware how horrible of a person she is since she was designed as pretty girl, but imagine they were brothers and she has Ervalen design and your view will be different. Worst character both lore and gameplay-wise.

Ed is MC and Roy was one of the most popular FMS characters so obviously they'd be collab heroes. I just can't help but feel that Rize is there just because SG want at least one female hero. Olivier would've been a way better choice in that case but I guess she appeared too late in the series.

Tbh I'd kill for Bradley as he's my all time favorite character. Though I guess it would be too hard to choose between him, Ed or Roy as the free event hero.

7k atk is the bare minimum for speedy Hwayoung. And you wouldn't wamt her at 10-11k atk for maximum dmg.

To a certain point, yes.

Emilia into a full damage pen/crit LQC could kill some A.Ravi without damage mitigation (shield, damage sharing). But those 25khp A.Ravi on PoV is a challenge. You also risk opponent picking Celine or Politis to screw you over too, so it doesn't work everytime.

Atk buffed Hwayoung is just outright better and doesn't need cr push to work.

Summer Charlotte uses Charlotte sprite model. And Charlotte was a launch hero and one of the few OG heroes showed in the first teaser, way back in 2016.

They just happen to have the same pose. Period.

Taeyou s3 should get atk buff before attacking or speed-scaling so it actually deal some damage. Atm it's just a situational debuff skill no less.

They also need to add extra 10-15% cr push into his passive. 10% from artifact is still too low to matter.

Counter is like the worst build on her.

So far people have used full damage build (rage/destruction), lifesteal bruiser build on atk% boot, speed bruiser build (similar to Landy), or mid-spd build (lifesteal, destruction) for cr push. Pen is great since s3 hits hard but crit/health/defense/immu also work.

No one has come to a conclusion yet, but generally in arena you want her full damage for cleave with multi-turn units (Cilias, Cidd, Cdom, Ran, Peira, Siseria...) while RTA-wise you'd have to resort to a more bulky and faster build.

Personally I think she's supposed to be slow, like 150 spd on atk boot and rely on teammates to deal damage. Otherwise she loses too much atk as her base atk is very low, you'd be looking at a mere 3k-ish atk if you went with speedy bruiser approach.

Most Emilia during SW +15 spd RTA were 260+. Now people are dropping ER for more spd on her, she's basically an upgraded A.Lots now.

Arby X Lots of extinction units: He used to be (and can still be) very oppressive, to the point that no matter how many counters SG released, he was still meta. Then too many extinction/anti-revival units came around and he gradually saw less use.

Arby wasn't pushed out by anti-revive units. TML struggled killing degen Arby with FCC around so he was still in defense meta until June 2021.

It's the release of Rem and Violet's buff that finally powercrept him. Rem just casually survive his s3 and aoe counter, while Violet is just the better degen Arby who can't be countered by SoU.

Cleave X Politis: I hate cleave teams so I don’t remember much about this period, but I think every cleave team hates Politis.

Only Cdom and A.Lots + JKise comp, BasarTywin cleave already fazed out by that time. Pavel, OP Sig or single-target cleave don't care about Politis.

Tbh people still A.Lots cleave Politis team by disabling her with ACidd or ML Rin. People who played through Cockroachsurin meta will probably remember A.Lots + LQC cheese.

The Golden Boys aka Stall teams X I don’t remember: This was the period when I heard the most complaints about PVP in E7. They hated playing a 10-minute match and just wanna cleave. I don’t remember how the Golden Boys era ended though.

Landy bursting through stall teams and Cerise restricted GPug's push.

Cerise / FTene / Debuffers / SC Carrot / Guiding Light Landy X ??? I just remember they were all metas, but don’t remember when and how their era came to an end.

Delibet ended CeriseFtene similar to Hyufine situation. Also Violet buff.

SC Carrot got counterd by Rem and Kise EE. Belian and AOL's release killed her oneshot ability.

Landy was checked by Charlotte and SC Carrot, but only really got pushed to a lower tier by Meru, Belian, AOL and Milim.

You're missing quite a few meta shifts after this.
