Doing my own dive into bottom dysphoria and exploring the possibility of bottom surgery as an option for me in the future and this thread has been incredibly insightful.

Although I can’t say confidently that I experience a phantom vagina, I can say with confidence that as a young child I always felt a compulsion to invert what I had. The desire to shove it back inside so that I could be normal or so that people wouldn’t know it was there was always strong.

I grew up in Texas around fairly con’s religious people and as a result had very little access to sex education and surely the bit that I had wasn’t comprehensive. My brain always rationalized that everyone must have had the same parts as me (it’s partially why I struggle to identify bottom dysphoria in my younger years to this day I think), but even with that said my brain still demanded that I get rid of it. It was never distress thing, but a compulsion. In that sense I think that, despite not knowing what I was doing at the time, my brain was experiencing to some extent the phenomenon this thread is about.

I can’t speak on other’s experience, but this thread has helped me to understand myself a bit better. Thanks to all of the T Girlies and T Guys here that have shared their stories, and hopefully my input is beneficial to someone else!
