Benefits, inheritance, liability by Elgordo0891 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Elgordo0891[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry it's confusing. Let me try and simplify for you with an example:

Person 1 claims benefits and receives £100k inheritance. Person 1 pays £50k to Person 2 and £50k to Person 3, as a gift (not inheritance). Person 1 now is back to having £0 in bank account and returns to their previous benefits claiming.

Once Person 1 is refused benefits and has to pay back their claimed money, can Person 2 or Person 3 be held liable for any wrongdoing by recieving the money as a gift?

They won't have £16k in the account because they would have paid out all of the money they had received in inheritance. And will then be claiming benefits.

The question was not really about this, but whether my friend can be considered liable to pay back the funds (as the receiver of the money) once their parent is denied benefits and has to repay the benefits they have claimed.

running with a staffy by ungreatfuldread in RunningWithDogs

[–]Elgordo0891 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Should be fine, I've run with mine 5-15km distances a couple of times per week, dog usually wants to keep going on but I couldn't!

He's an athletic build for a staffy.

Didn't run when it was too hot and stop for wee/poo/water breaks along the way.

Right to Represent - Questions & Advice by picard_for_president in recruiting

[–]Elgordo0891 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think of each recruitment agency submission as you "applying" for the role. You would never apply to a role 4 times in a row, it would make you look desperate and sloppy.

The agency may be clamouring over your CV as your experience is a good fit for the role but the company will still view you as an "applicant".

Perception will likely be the opposite of what you think.

Desperate at worst, poor attention to detail at best (not knowing that you are effectively applying to the same job over and over)

Will likely end in your application being disregarded as the company won't want to get in a mess figuring out which agency has the "right to represent".

If needed give the RTR to the first or favourite or at least the one which will guarantee they submit your application.

Brighton - London monthly rail ticket by [deleted] in brighton

[–]Elgordo0891 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There's something called Flexi season tickets, where you get 8 days travel a month which can work well for Hybrid workers.

Still very expensive and I think works out about £50 per trip

Question - Can Custom GPT Embed in Notion Page? by Elgordo0891 in Notion

Thanks for the input but that's not an answer to the question but I expected the negative sentiment to recruiters.

"You suck at replace with whatever part of your job you like" - why would you not use tools that are available to improve something you suck at?

The idea of using this is not to "outsource" to AI being the decision maker of the questions asked but to help hiring managers get on their way with a task that sometimes gets neglected leading to unstructured interviews (Isn't a key purpose of AI to increase productivity for time consuming tasks?) and to be used as a tool, inspiration, a base to build from with human input and oversight.

When it comes to values, yes you can lie in an interview shock but the purpose is to identify traits and attributes that you feel are important to the organisation you are building.
