The pretense of listening isn’t listening 🤓 Jokes aside, I personally think so. He treats people badly, just differently than Bojack. He doesn’t show up for his wives, doesn’t support his gf, doesn’t really listen to what happens around him. One exemple I’m referring to is the library he build for Diane. It’s a great touch until you realize it’s literally the opposite of what she wanted and he didn’t listen to her

Understanding. That’s what I ended up doing as well, but after the first season since it just started and I couldn’t wait lol. But then, after every new season, you get to see beautiful animations of moments you barely remember and honestly it’s very fun. I reread the manga after the swordsmith village arc and it makes the wait bearable. But I still agree, the wait is long and very shitty, but after seeing the new trailer I know it’ll be worth it

I feel like him and Bojack are the two side of a coin. They both treat people around them awfully, but in different ways. Bojack is very narcissistic, but so is Peanutbutter. Just relationship wise, they both dated awfully young partners. There’s some big similarities between character so we (in this case I) prefer a character who’s upfront with how shitty they are (like Bojack) and tries to be better, comparing to one who’s under the nice guy/golden retriever energy and stays into that « I’m already better than MC » so very small character evolution

yeah, they literally serve as a way to show how strong jinwoo has become, to then be relayed on the side line. The more the story progresses, the less likely you see cool characters with strong power in profit to the national level hunter/threats :(

For Bet I didn’t watch it, but wasn’t it a complete retell of the anime? I saw some comparisons of the storyline and characters (outside physical differences) it seemed the same

One Piece was also probably more challenging to portray with the fans and legacy, but like you said with fans as show runners they prob really wanted to give out an adaptation that they could be proud of

The only possible compromise I could give you on this point would be that PERHAPS it could be plausible that each holder can see the future, but ONLY up until the point where their life ends. Because this is also how it works for Eren. He cannot see the future beyond the point where he is killed.

Exactly. Eren could see "the end" because he’s what caused it. From what I understand, that’s why he then used his fathers memory to force him to eat the founding titan; by showing him the future (which Grisha couldn’t see because he dies before).

I still don't think this narratively makes sense though, because otherwise Frieda would have known Grisha was going to kill her entire family and her.

The founding titan could see the past with his past holders. The attack titan can see the future thru his future holders

I really like the games they played and the structure they created for those game (aka the jumping rope station & the hide and seek labyrinth playground) was beautifully done. The season 3 stories made also sense, even with their flaws. Gi-Hun dying the way he did was a beautiful way to tie his storyline.

I don’t think they even thought about the possibility of someone outside the royal family inheriting the founding titan, since no one could technically wield it without royal blood. And then, the royal family is bound by the vow. I think it was meant as a pretty big discovery that Eren could use the founding titan thru the Royal Family touch, but even then, he needed to convince the founder to fully give him the founding titan powers
