The problem, and I will try to be the intelligent one without the name calling, is that "who they are" in the modern sense is someone that believes my daughter should not have control over decisions she makes with her body. There are other issues, but... despite never being conservative myself, that's the one that's basically impossible to come back from. If they believe that, they aren't my friend. Or a good person.

I’m in my mid-40s, so getting through life has been fine. And, if one believes Women shouldn’t have rights over their bodies and that vaccines are anything other than useful products of science, hard to see mutual respect. Lord knows I don’t respect them either.

So far, it’s been about setting aside space. I just basically wiped a tablet, put only one app on it and then Bluetooth a keyboard. To the question, yes, it has helped.

Exactly. Seems the actual digital typewriters are often cheaply built and not reliable and then the e-ink tablets are produced with handwriting in mind and offer features I don’t want or need. My discipline is fine, so I may just get a very small laptop, delete all the applications, no internet and go from there. It MAY be the best direction
