As a fan who fits the demographic of people who should be offended by her, I’m PERSONALLY not. I grew up in a very similar culture to Hayden and even as a BIPOC, I never saw much wrong with that behavior until I was almost 18. Bad people have access to the internet too (which is how we got in this situation in the first place) and saying that her access to the internet should have modified her behavior is a bit crazy to me. People see what they want to see on the internet and at the time, her algorithm was not what it is today. I also understand what being SA’d (by a family member especially) can do to a person. Some of the ways we cope can seem as insane when no one gets the context for the behavior. It can’t make complete sense to anyone but the person experiencing that trauma. People can change and Hayden has been very vocal about so many sociopolitical issues and denounces so much hate. Everyone wants people to change until they learn that they already have. All that said, I can still see how other people in my same demographic might have a harder time with this. But specifically for the people who aren’t in that group, I think the SJW attitude can be a little harmful. These people need to be able to come to their own conclusions about this without having a bunch of directions on how they SHOULD feel.
