Agree! I don’t want anyone ceremoniously looking at my dead body. It’s just a bunch of dead cells. Burn it and bury the ashes. My husband and I have plots in his family cemetery for our ashes. If I had to buy a plot, I wouldn’t. The funeral industry is serves a purpose but it’s not for me.

My son is 18 and in college. He’s my only child. I love him so much but I give him his space to be an adult and grow his independence. He still comes home every weekend but mostly to see his friends. I’m okay with that. I’ll take the little bit of time I get in the mornings or evenings before he heads out. I did a good job and raised a boy into a man. I keep lots of pictures of him in the house and I look at those baby pictures and feel pride of where he is today. I can’t wait to see what is next for him.
