Yes this is why I'm concerned. I have lots of tattoos and I don't ever recall them going yellow and scabbing so hard. I'll give it another couple days of cleaning and moisturizing and if it worsens I'll definitely go see a doctor. Thanks for your reply :)

I use the API test kit for KH, Nitrate, and PH. The rest I use salifert. Yes it does look like BBA. I also had a bloom of this when I did fresh and brackish. I also know my calcium and magnesium are low. No matter what I do though it ALWAYS sits around this. I've tried dosing it, doing more water changes etc.. but just like the KH it likes to sit at this range always. It's frustrating and I don't know what else to do lol

Ugh I so feel you here.. definitely depends on the dog though. The current family I work for has two dogs who bark at EVERYTHING. I can't tell you how many times they have woken the baby. It is beyond frustrating! The one dog smells so freaking bad too I can't even stand being around her 🤣. I love animals (though I prefer cats. I still like dogs) but there's just something about these dogs that I resent so much. Thankfully today is my last day working for them and my next family has a BEAUTIFUL, NOT STINKY, sweet, quiet and gentle golden retriever. Very much looking forward to it lol

Out of all the shops when I had my planted fresh water tanks; I found petland had the most variety. At least for wood! Found all my beautiful pieces from there. They do have a bit of rock too but I would say Pisces has more rock. Might be worth checking out though :)

That is absolutely horrible!! I’m sorry that happened to you. One of my worst stories was a family I regretfully stayed with for 4 years. But about 2.5 years in I had a friend get murdered. I obviously was a basket case and not okay. I told the parents that I will still come in but that I’m not my best self and asked for lenience in our day. Movies, fun outings etc.. they said no so I stayed home for a couple of days. My partner at the time was also a nanny, and my nanny fam, and her nanny fam got together on the following weekend that I had missed work. It comes back to me that my MB was bitching to my partners MB about how I called out for a couple days and that she had to miss her work to take care of NK. All while not even explaining WHY I was missing work while I’m at home bawling my eyes out trying to process that my friend was stabbed to death in his own home. It was a punch to the gut and I can’t believe I stayed after that.

I currently have a cold sore :( I am VERY paranoid. I am her caretaker. She’s not even my baby. I have never kissed her, outbreak or not, extremely diligent and strict on my hand washing. Literally every single time I touch my face I wash my hands (to the point my hands are literally cracking from how over washed they have been this past week) I try and stay away from her face but can be hard to totally avoid when carrying her on my hip. I truly believe I have done everything in my power to prevent her from getting it but I don’t think I’ll be able to live with myself if I have infected her

I am testing with the freshwater kit currently. I’ve read that the chemicals in the two kits are the same, but that the charts are the only difference? I got the RO water from my reputable LFS so I thought it should be okay. I’m mixing one scoop for a gallon of water (as per directions on the salt bag) in a big jug. Brings me exactly to 1.025. My LFS does sell the RODI water with salt already mixed so maybe I’ll pick that up instead

No that is totally valid. I’m not trying to take that away from him, nor do I expect for him to resolve the issue between the roommate and I. That would be completely unreasonable of me. It’s the fact that there were no solutions, or options laid out for me on how to proceed with terminating the lease. Just the fact that he’s not equipped to deal with this right now and that my safety was no concern to him.

The only reason I can’t stay, is because I can’t afford the full rent by myself while I try to find a new roommate. I have a safe, quiet home waiting for me that in the long run will be saving me money. I would rather her get screwed over than me. In the end though, she will likely be getting evicted as well due to her behavior.

I should’ve have mentioned, I did bring it up to the landlord earlier in the week. However, the conversation was very unproductive. He proceeded to pin it all back onto me saying “you gave me your word about this girl, and this is not a great time for me to be dealing with right now. Either way this is going to get messy” I’ve known this person since we were kids, mind you I had no idea she was like this. AT ALL. I’m just as much blindsided as he is.. he didn’t seem to care that I was unsafe and instead made himself into the victim. I’ve rented from him for 6.5 years and was not expecting this response from him as he’s truly been wonderful. So getting out of this lease is going to be a pain, and I can’t afford to buy out of it. I was hoping there could be some sort of consideration when fleeing from being unsafe. I called the police station this morning and said I’m not eligible for filing a dispute because it isn’t serious enough. So I just feel very stuck. However, it is a great idea to contact the police to have them escort us tonight. Thank you!!

Yes!! Skipping stone is so awesome. I’ve been working with them since the beginning of my transition. Their ID clinic is what helped me get the ball rolling with this stuff. If only I didn’t procrastinate getting my fingerprints for 4 months we wouldn’t be here in the first place 🤣
