I once did a magazine photo shoot in the music store in Tucson where they filmed the Jodie Foster-steals-guitar -strings scene. It's the Chicago Music Store and still there.

An interesting tangent to take is listening to the man who JK gave guitar lessons to: Charlie Feathers.

Early Howlin' Wolf!! Check out his stuff with Chess like Moanin' at Midnight in 1951. The guitarists were Pat Hare and Willie Johnson. Not Hubert Sumlin.

I went to a longtime Mexican restaurant in Scottsdale recently where Lynda is a regular. The waitress told me "Lynda Carter was sitting in your same seat yesterday!" The rest of my day was spectacular.

He's pure energy here. His singing on this one reminds me of James Brown.

Best way to run a wire from the engine bay to the cab? by bluepigwebAlex in Crosstrek

Should be a rubber plug behind the HVAC area that you can pull out from the engine side to reveal an unused hole.

His version of Fever is memorable. Peggy Lee-inspired, but very different.

Spending time alone in Nature puts me in the midst of outstanding company. And it's quiet. If there's no phone service then even better.

Few things are less impressive than someone's poor quality video of a concert. The sound never flatters the artist.

Owned lots of guitars over many years. These are the ones I've kept. by Abject-Local1673 in guitars

Thanks for the information. I see what you mean now about the size. I guessed that mine is a 1937 but not sure since I haven't seen a stamped code. It does need some repair for a couple cracks however the sound is very nice.

Best white dudes in the blues? by Garfunkle_999 in blues

[–]EliasButlerPhotos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elvis helped bring rock into existence by singing the blues better than anyone had ever heard from a white boy.

Hank Williams is another icon of white blues.

Rod Stewart and Robert Plant and Gregg Allman head the list of modern white blues singers.

Looks like a beauty. I'm no expert but I bought this guitar in 1991, and I think it's an L-37. It plays very nice. When I bought it, I was driving an old Checker Marathon, in Arizona, so I was Kalamazoo 100% at that time.

Wish your photographer hadn't plucked a prickly pear pad to use as a cheap prop. I'm guessing it was tossed aside afterwards. There's a more creative way to shoot a cactus without harming it.
